Unfortunately, didn't have access to a computer while watching, and didn't take notes. Consequently, I'm going from (recent) memory. Please fill in what I miss.

-- Total crew loss tally: 18, and apparently none of them MACOs. One of them was Taylor, a talented young female engineer whom Trip pulled off the Saratoga to serve on Enterprise.

-- Ship is still a mess, but they're starting to pull things together.

-- Archer's got the equipment used by three Xindi-Reptilians in 2004 to create a bioweapon on Earth (ref. "Carpenter Street") locked up in a storage room. He's also got the three Xindi themselves in the morgue. (Have we seen this area before?)

-- T'Pol is experiencing no more Trellium D withdrawal symptoms, but she seems to be stuck with the emotions indefinitely. (Oh goody... [Razz] )

-- Someone gets "burned" by plasma coolant, a warp plasma conduit bursts and melts through the hull, creating a "neat" plasma fire effect.

-- Trip and Malcolm go out to fix the leak using a manual shut off system that must be accessed from outside the ship. The heat from the fire overwhelms Malcolm's EV suit and he nearly succumbs to heat stroke before they finally manage to lock down the leak. He threw away the panel covering the valve control into space. I realize there was a priority issue, but what made him think THAT was a good idea?

-- This episode is a turning point in the alliance between the Xindi and humans. Archer earns Degra's trust and support.

-- At the Xindi's last count, there are actually 78 spheres. They've never been able to observe the interiors of them. (But apparently the interior scans taken by the NX-01 have been recovered after their apparent loss in "Chosen Realm.")

-- The transdimensional aliens (Sphere Builders) evolved under a "completely different set of physical laws than those of this dimension," yet they still have two arms and two legs and a bipedal, humanoid body plan... [Roll Eyes]

-- Degra worked on designing the power systems of the Reptilian ships. When one attacks the NX-01 (docked with Degra's ship) the two vessels team up to disable it. Degra even goes so far as to destroy it so it can't report back to the Council. So he's definitely committed at this point.

-- Degra directs Archer to take one of those supspace portal thingees as a shortcut to the location of the Council, so Archer can appeal to them directly.

I expect that this is the one that they will supposedly get thrown back in time from in the next episode, "E^2." [Wink]

This was a pretty good episode, which seems to be the case with most of the recent ones (barring a few tech glitches in "Damage"). And it's definitely a thresh-hold as far as the newfound support with the Primates and Arboreals which Archer has gained.

Doesn't make up for the mistakes made within "Damage" but I agree that it was a good episode.

I think we have seen the morgue before, I'm thinking it had something to do with when they captured Degra, but I don't know why.

I'm beginning to think that in E2, we'll see an illusion of some sort, instead of the actual future ship. Degra made an off hand remark about 'a hostile species by guarding the nebula'.

Next week's preview made the other Enterprise in E2 to be a future version of NX-01 populated with the current version's descendants.

Nobody mentioned Trip's great acting job in this episode!
It made it a great episode for me: they need to show more of his acting skills and less of T'Pol in pajamas.

Staring at T'Pol's pajamas.

Besides, back then, Trip's character was'nt given scripts that allowed for much acting.

Recall early efforts to develop Hoshi?
Scared Hoshi, Overwhelmed Hoshi, Hohi having problems with T'Pol, Phased Hoshi, Hoshi with the alien "Bueaty and the Beast" knockoff...
Thankfully abandoned in favor for better plots. [Wink]

- During the memorial service in the shuttle hangar... what happened to the two shuttles!?

- Crewman Taylow was an EPS Control Specialist. She was tranferred from the Saratoga, under the command of a Captain Brody. She works on Rostov's team.

- NX-01 and Degra's vessel hide in the cloaking field of a Sphere.

- The previously seen probe-alien with the flaky skin is obviously of the same species as the female Sphere Builder.

- It looks like the devices taken from the Reptillians are stored in Daniels' quarters. Quite a bunch of high tech gizmos in that room.

- The crew are on ration packs. T'Pol gets pepperoni pizza. She's not thrilled.

- Okay.. a warp plasma conduit bursted open.. but where was that conduit going? If it was going to the nacelles, it certainly made a weird detour. It looks like a conduit runs to the each of the impulse engines (or whatever they are) on the saucer. Does that make sence, treknologically speaking?

- Enterprise fires phasers from what seems to be the top-aft of the ship.

- The Council Chamber is 'more than a dozen' lightyears away. It would take 'weeks'. The shortcut is only half a lightyear away. But the nebula surrounding it is inhabited by 'hostile aliens'. Their ETA at the Council is 3 days.

Mabye the Warp plasma feeds the phasers somehow?
It's the only explanation I can come up with to explain why phasers are better than "phase cannons" and why there would be a conduit on the side of the ship (aside fom already having rendered the ship's hull closeup for the episode with the Romulan Minefield).

I wasnt being sarcastic: I'm tired and thought they'd been upgraded with the torpedos.

The premise of the plasma feeding the weapons (or possibly even the hull plating) is what I was getting at.

And sleep is a good thing.

I wonder how long the ship will have the battle scars? In this episode we saw them removing wreckage that was specifically cluttering the sets, from the previous episode (instead of generic debris) and we saw some sets mostly restored, while other parts of the ship where just recently pressurized and entered.

I'll be a little miffed if the big gashes on the outer hull magically disappear. On the other tentacle, it would look pretty cool, to go back to Earth, in the end, limping, but victorious.

Your assuming then on their dimention, that they are also bipeds? It could simply be a a form they use to help gain the trust of the xindi (would you trust a big blob of goo that was telling you someone else was gonna kill em?

I'm seriously hoping the damage stays until they get back to Earth. The show has been consistently introducing new CG of the ship, keeping the amount of stock shots to the lowest ever in the franchise. It shouldn't be a problem for the show.

Looks like TPTB have actually taken the "Voyager Repair Syndrome" under note! Between this episode and "Dead Stop" last year, this ship as taken several beatings - and it's showing!

And with 18 dead now, they've probably lost over a quarter of the ship's operational crew (not counting MACOs). I wonder if they're going to show any further consequences beyond just having dmage clutter the place. They hardly have a place to drydock and repair, and I hope the writers keep this in mind.

Still in their hanger. I believe they do have two hangers for a total capacity of four pods.

I don't think that was Daniels' quarters. The door was just to wide to be part of crew quarters. And I really don't think Archer would want to show Degra what else he had regarding his time travel adventures.

No it wasn't Daniels' quarters. There's a wide shot that shows it's the cargo bay or a similar large room (armory?) to which the "closet" adjoins.

Did the morgue look like it was off the sickbay? That would be sensible.
