Maybe if the secondary hull was above and ahead of the primary hull ...

However, maybe you can try inverting just the aft section of the saucer superstructure? That might be a compromise between the two configurations.

You know, this would be a great idea for a Forum contest. See how much stuff you can add to the original Miranda design so that it can technically be regarded as a new class. I don't mean kitbashing or rearranging the original design, I mean adding so many original parts to the frame that the resemblance to a Miranda should be only a vague one at best. Put Greg Jein & his goofy Soyuz class ship to shame!

Yeah, that sounds sweet Dukhat. Although right now, I'm in the middle of a project of my own and I don't really want to put it off. [Frown]
