I read somewhere about a 'Zandura class' which was designed for ST:FC by Alex Jaeger, but it didn't make it onscreen. Supposedly, there must be a design somewhere around. Does somebody have a pic of it, or knows where to find it?

Yes, that's what I'm saying, it was never mentioned or even seen. The Zandura class was supposed to be part of the battle scenes in ST:FC, but eventually, the VFX dept decided to do not. At least, that's what I was told.

The TNG movie sketchbook mentions a USS Endeavor that was sketched but never followed up on. No mention of class. I've never heard of a Zandura, though.

Actually, I think Boris was talking about it a while ago...it might be the class of the chunk of debris the Defiant flys by, but that's just speculation.

I was actually wondering about that chunk of debris. I watched FC the other day and tried to freeze frame on the chunk of hull. There's not a lot of detail but I got this: It has the Starfleet arrowhead and red pinstripe as well as several Ent-D style escape pods on it. That's about all I can see.

I think it's quite clear that different classes of starships have different escape pod designs. So perhaps that piece of junk is a Galaxy.

It's not, though...the curve of the piece indicates it's from a very small saucer, and its features don't match up with a Galaxy.

Are there any pics around of this chunk of debris?
I did tape FC, but because of the summer/winter time thing that was going on back then, I miss the first 40 minutes or so. That's exactly the cool part op the movie

The escape pods are too big in relation to the saucer - can't be the Steamrunner. That's why I thought it could be the Zandura class science ship that Jaeger talked about in an e-mail.
