If you're happy with your work how it is and not open to criticism, then why bother displaying it for people to give their opinions?

I'm sorry if my thoughts offended you but I was just telling it how I see it.

I post pics here because i WANT opinions of the other members(you can see this on other posts in the Designs, Artwork, & Creativity forum). But if someone says that the saucer has to many details and he don't say why then i can't understand what is wrong with the details.

Fair enough, Lobo. With regards to the saucer detailing, it's the large Sovereign style triangular panels at the front that strike me as excessive and out of place. They just don't look right to me -- I can't explain it better than that. Again though, with their removal your design would look more like the Sovereign-class.

Admittedly, I am quite partial to the Ent-E design so I'm likely being prejudice against your design.

I don't think there's an excessive amount of detail on the saucer so much as I feel that there's not a balanced amount on the aft sections. For instance, it the aft areas had that a coupel of dark colored panels like the ones on the front of the saucer, it might balance it out visually. Same with some of the grid lines. The aft sections have more open panelling.

I really dig the design, I'm just not crazy about forward swept pylons. Maybe straight-to-the-side pylons ala Voyager?

I hope you don't mind me saying, but I like the first saucer better... The forward swept nacelles struts look cool though [Smile]

A little update.

As you can see i've changed the support pylons and stretched the nacelles a bit!

Actually, I think your new pylons are perfect.

Yes, not being swept forward or backwards makes them correspond better to the design of the saucer, IMHO.

I like it! [Smile]

Here is an small auxiliary ship similar to the Captains Yacht or Aero Wing.
It's located on the downside of the saucer.
