I WAS thinking of a carrot, and I still have tears in my eyes as I write this. But I picked 6 in the first round.

Oh by the way, does anyone of you have weird colour associations? Back at school, German was Green, English was red, geography was green again, Spanish was yellow, Maths was red -I believe, it's been a while- Dutch was,,erm, red I think. But French was more like yellow. And Biology was reddish. Am I just weird?

The 7 thing worked when I saw the first part of this post elsewhere a long time ago, but the vegetable I thought of was an eggplant. I understand why 7 is a common choice, but why a carrot?

Apparently Monty and I think the same way numerically. I suppose I'm the only one to pick a fruit for a vegetable. On my second try a fraction of a second later, I managed to pick a vegetable that's technically a berry.
Go fig. Of course the rest of you probably already have me pegged as thinking so non-linearly, it would graph as a corkscrew.

I got 7. . . but then you're meant to. Between 12 and 5? Come on. Simple subtraction. As for vegetables, I thought courgette, which is what we call a zucchini. Hmm. . .
