I got 11 and lettuce respectively.

Why a carrot? I have no clue, but I was introduced to a similar test before and everyone but me said carrot. I originally said lettuce, too. Why lettuce? Don't ask me!

Anyone care to tell Jubes that 3 is not in between 12 and 5, or shall I?

I know it isn't. But that's the first number I thought of when they told me to think of a number. *LOL*

Carrots are the vegetables that most children hate the least.

As for my results, I did it outloud, like it says. For a number I got 5. For a vegetable...well, it said the first thing that came to mind.

I said people.

Interesting... I also said six...

Of course, on the vegetable one, my thoughts were actually "Apple! No, wait, that's not a ****ing vegetable! Pota Wait, is that considered a vegetable? Ah, screw it... Carrot." Seriously.

It might be because 6+6 is 12...it follows the previous progression.

AAAAARGGHHH!

I don't believe I fell for this one.
My little sisters tried this one out on me on the way home from picking me up in college two Fridays ago -- I was after spending hours in a stuffy car, just recovering from a hangover and I had got eff-all sleep the night before, and I still didn't fall for it!

Damn you Lee - I'm going to do some study now I'm so annoyed.

In a similar vein
(well actually it's not really anything like like Lee's but I get sent all sorts of cr*p e-mail so here you go)

1. First of all, pick the total number of people you have slept with. (Naturally this assumes that you can remember!)

2. Multiply this number by 2...

3. Add 5...

4. Multiply it by 50...

5. If you have already had your birthday this year...add 1749, if you haven't had your birthday this year...add 1748.

6.now subtract the four digit year that you were born..

If you have slept with less than 10 people see a)
If you have slept with more than 10 people see b)

a) you should have a three digit number...
the first digit...should be the number of your encounters....

the second two digits should be your age!!!

b) you should have a four digit number...
the first two digits...should be the number of your encounters....

the second two digits should be your age!!!

1999....is the only year that this will work...so pass the fun around and foward this to all your friends while the year is still here!!!

Clever eh? No I didn't think so either!

Try this one. I learned in in fifth grade, but you'd be surprised how many older people it fools into believing you can read their minds.

It's best if you write it down each time you do a step, then come back to the next step.

1.) Pick a country that starts with D.

2.) Pick an animal that starts with the second letter in that country's name.

3.) What color is that animal?

4.) Pick another animal that starts with the LAST letter in the country's name.

5.) Pick a fruit that starts with the last letter in that animal's name.

-----

90% of people will get:

1.) Denmark
2.) Elephant
3.) Gray
4.) Kangaroo
5.) Orange

Oddly enough, I learned that in fifth grade also.
