If you're poor and hungry, you will eat anything. In Cuba, the natives cook and eat jutias, a kind of giant rat that lives on the coast. (I can thank the National Geographic for this.)

You can't say that until you've been in such a position yourself, Snay.

No, I meant I wouldn't thank The National Geographic for that piece of information (as TargetEmployee has). Duh.

I remember when I used to live in Manila and dogs would disappear from houses because they were being stolen and cooked. I found it strange since there was a McDonald's nearby... I guess dog taste better than the hamburgers they serve.

Then again, free dog is cheaper than expensive McDonald's burgers.
Disgusting as it may seem, in different cultures they eat different animals. Hindus find it equally disgusting that we eat cow, as an example.

"What if the secret ingredient is people!?"
"There's already a drink like that: Soylent Cola."
"What's it like?"
"It varies from person to person."

Or, as a friend of mine observed upon seeing Soylent Green, "Poof! You're crackers!".

My dad told me about a German guy that used people in his sausage.... this happened in the early 50s, since he was drafted for the Korean War.....

I've heard of persons using sausages in their peoples. You know, entertainment venues.
