Whether or not you are in agreement with the current actions of their commander in chief, I still think this is a good idea...

From an email I got...

quote:
For our friends, family, and fellow Americans we don't even know are in uniform...

If you are so inclined, visit the Department of Defense web page below and sign a brief message thanking the men and women of the U.S. military services for defending our freedom. The compiled list of names will be sent out to our soldiers at the end of the month. So far, there are less than 200,000 names - what a shame.

You're just mad because the Canadians don't care enough to get something like this going for their troops.

Of course, if Canadian support for their military is so low, it's just another good reason to invade when I become Emperor. Thanks. [Big Grin]

We have troops now?

Our soldiers are at their best when sandbagging Manitoba.

Probably 'cos the yanks have killed half the Canadian army by 'accidentally' dropping bombs on them. It's a conspiracy!!!! [Big Grin]

I know about .mil, but I'm saying it's a rather fishy thing. First the unusual name of the website, second the rather barren and cheap webpage, and third, the fact that it appears to have come through spam mail...

Well, no-one but the government could register a .mil domain...

359, I don't believe First specified it came over as spam mail. He simply stated he received it from an email he got. And it does look very official to me, so I've go no problem with it. A possible reason why it looks "cheap and barren" to you may be because they don't want to spit out more info than is really necessary or they simply don't have the time to make it complicated. Besides, do you really want extensively stuffed and complicated government websites?
