OK, I need to know the best possible ingredients for a peanut butter and honey sandwich. I'm talking specific brands and flavors of honey, here, as much detail as I can get. Anyone here a connoisseur of such things, or know where I can find one? I need the ULTIMATE sandwich, here.

What?

I'll echo that. But louder, maybe, with a richer intonation than Liam.

The ultimate sandwich? Porchetta. Shoulder of pork boned and beaten flat, rubbed with a mixture of herbs and spices, marinated for about a day then roasted until almost dry and crumbly. Stick a slice in a ciabatta roll and you're done. THAT, my friend, is the ultimate sandwich. Peanut Butter and Jelly, indeed.

Well, yes, but the girl I'm trying to impress likes peanut butter and honey. So.

While I can only imagine the sort of hazing you are in for, I think I can identify with trying to impress a girl by making a really good sandwich.

Unless, perhaps, the peanut butter and honey are being sandwiched between something other than bread.
Posted by Sol System (Member # 30) on :
But who makes a sandwich out of CORN TORTILLAS?
Posted by Omega (Member # 91) on :
Come on, Tom, this is ME. It would be considered wild and crazy if it was white bread instead of wheat.

Omega is not allowed to take the piss out of himself!
It leaves us with nothing to do on dull Mondays. Or indeed, any other day.

Let's take the piss out of Liam then!

New entry for Omegalust.

I would imagine that you would need to find out if she likes crunchy or smooth PB, as this will give the sandwich it's texture.
Wild and crazy with white bread??? Okay....

Yeah, wait just a second, I'll check! *yanks mike* Can we get a connaisseur on, um, [i]babyfood[/b] to isle five?
The only options I can think of, barring the use of other ingredients, is getting really nice, ecological peanutbutter (from some mom&pop farm distributor or some shit like that) and some sassy honey, (clear akacia is my favourite, I use it with hot milk and mintleaf for colds) some fineass bread (perhaps teacakes with caraway seed in them, or some other tasty bread-condiment).
I just have to ask you something, so I can sleep at night. This girl? She doesn't by any chance arrange her hair in pigtail fashion? And favor pink dresses?

this is getting bizarre.

Ahem.
*points downwards*

Nope, hair's not long enough for pigtails, and when it is she seems to prefer ponytails. Oh, and I've only seen her in one dress in the past seven years, and it was blue.
Posted by Vogon Poet (Member # 393) on :
Short hair, never wears dresses. I'm starting to understand why Omey's having problems finding the hole - he's dating another boy. You might want to think about why 'she' has such an unusually deep voice. 8)

Pink dress + pigtails
or
Blue dress + ponytail
I am terribly confused.
Does she ever wear green and have her hair in a short bob style?
Posted by Omega (Member # 91) on :
Oh, pray that I never see you in person, Lee. After that crack about this particular girl, you wouldn't be safe.
Does she ever wear green and have her hair in a short bob style?
Well, her hair currently IS in a short bob style, if I understand the term. As for whether she wears green, I don't know. I've only seen her in one dress since fifth grade, and it was blue. But that's due to my lack of seeing her, not due to her lack of wearing dresses.

Oh no! Be careful Lee, he'll shoot you (because that's what good Christians do, forget that sissy "turn your other cheek" shit, that's for the Jews).

Hooray for relavancy.

I stand corrected. Thanks.

At least we know that she has a crack...

So where did this "hole" quote come from?
Posted by Vogon Poet (Member # 393) on :
Yes, our favourite little right-wing christian teenage nut just attempted to tell me off over ICQ. You'd have thought he'd have gotten used to people making fun of things he'd said by now. Perhaps now he'll understand why so many people have taken offence at things he'd said that were never intended to cause offence, like. . . actually, there are so many examples I can't think of any particular one.
Anyway, on the premise that I've better things to do with my Internet time than be berated by adolescents, he's now Ignored.
Posted by Omega (Member # 91) on :
Hmm... actually, the only thing I can recall that I've ever said that accidentally offended someone, at least that I was informed about, was the whole "grasshopper" deal with whoever it was. Someone wasn't familiar with the term "patience, grasshopper". Not a result of insensitivity or not grasping that someone JUST MIGHT be insulted if you said they looked like a member of the opposite sex.
As for the hole quote, I was looking for a hole in my logic and/or luck.
Posted by Snay (Member # 411) on :
quote:Someone wasn't familiar with the term "patience, grasshopper
That was Tahna, and there was more to it then not being familiar with the term, as you should fucking well know since he explained to you what he was pissed about.
Posted by TSN (Member # 31) on :
"...someone JUST MIGHT be insulted if you said they looked like a member of the opposite sex."
But he didn't say that. He doesn't even know what the girl in question looks like. He was insulting you, not her, by suggesting that you could easily be fooled into thinking a boy was a girl.
Posted by Nimpim (Member # 205) on :
Hey guys, what the damn?
I made ONE joke about the girl liking pb&h-sandwiches could be a little 10-year old, since it sounds kinda like lunchbox material. Then all this spills out! Seriously!
