I could barely stop laughing reading this. I still find it amazing that there are people who believe this shit.

Landoverbaptist.org is sly and sardonic.

And an ad for a WWJD thong at the bottom of the page. Cute.

Holy, heavens!! It's ulTRA magNUS back from teh death. And he's carrying the matrix of leadership in his metal jowls.
I've always admired the "Accept Christ and get a free PlayStation 2" myself.

It's been 2004 years since the guy died. Get the fuck over it already. He aint't coming back, and he CERTAINLY won't save any of those assholes.

He'll be here in 2443!

That has to be a parody site: no one's that crazy.
Posted by TSN (Member # 31) on :
But it seems that people really are this clueless, eh?
(And it's been closer to 1970 years, by the way.)

What was the name of that real baptist site that reviewed every movie between heaven and earth and counted the swear-words, unethical actions and acts of violence? I can't remember.
They had developed a number system as a frame of reference, where some New York "couples"-movie had gotten a 0 (nice and wholesome) and American Psycho had gotten 100.
I like to go there and look up films now and then, it's entertaining to see how they react to some films. Posted by Sol System (Member # 30) on :
CAP Alert.
Posted by Nim' (Member # 205) on :
Right, thanks. And it seems the scale is the opposite, 0 for "American Psycho" and 100 for "Who gets the house".
They didn't like the "South Park"-movie very much, either. I just saw it last night, so I had to look it up. My top ten list of their CAP alerts:
- bare posterior - electric shock to control a child - website of porn with a child's mother as one of the porn stars - 131 uses of the most foul of the foul words by children - long sequence of homosexual as emcee of a USO show - adult males in bikinis - male chorus line in pink bikini briefs - igniting anal wind then being incinerated - passing body gas in time to music and in other situations - a giant talking female private organ

Dot com.
(There is one on computer games, too, which, among many other buried treasures, contains a particularly enthralling dissertation on why playing Doom III will turn you into an unbridled devil worshipper, and at least sports a markup style that postdates 1993.)

Just a heads up, Landover Baptist is a parody site.

And yet it's scary to think people out there might just be like this...

What, funny?

Why do you do this?

Hey, that's the guy that wheeled in during Professor Farnsworth's 150th birthday! He was the only survivor of Farnsworth's old space crew.
I thought Pike only starred in "The Cage" and was never used again. Is he in any other TOS-ep?
Posted by PsyLiam (Member # 73) on :
"The Menagerie", although I assume you know that one.

"Why do you do this?"
You don't really want me to answer that, do you? Because I will. You know I will.
Posted by Omega (Member # 91) on :
Except that you didn't.
Posted by TSN (Member # 31) on :
Well, he hasn't said yet whether I should, has he?
Posted by PsyLiam (Member # 73) on :
Well, I know the answer, you know the answer, everyone knows the answer. Saying it out loud will only confirm your nixpicking anality.
Posted by Cartman (Member # 256) on :
Whereas asking a question to which you already know the answer just marks you as a smug, smug git.
Posted by PsyLiam (Member # 73) on :
It was a rhetorical sigh of resignation.

Blah blah blah blah death of my boy.
I haven't seen "Menagerie", it/they is/are one of the few TOS-epsisodes I haven't seen.
I thought about religion on my way home from the christmas shopping spree. There are loads of people who are more god-leet than me, who spend like half their waking hours doing things in his honor, I could only be some meandering amateur godist in comparison, so I don't want to do it, it feels like just treading in others' footsteps.
Now, what I don't get is how criminals can be religious and stay sane. Catholic mafioso, buddhist Triad guys. What is it about being good they don't get? Am I being judgemental? Why am I being judgemental?

Because evil can always justify away anything and sleep soundly. It's what makes them evil.
