In ST:TMP, Decker was pointing out a display of other Enterprises to the Ilia probe. There's one that was never seen anywhere in Trek, which has been identified as being something from another Rodenberry project that never got off the ground. My question is this: does anyone know what that project was? "Battleground: Earth" (A.K.A. "Earth: Final Conflict")? "Starship"? "Andromeda"?------------------ "I consider the foundation of the Constitution as laid on this ground: That "all powers not delegated to the United States, by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States or to the people . . ." To take a single step beyond the boundaries thus specially drawn around the powers of Congress is to take possession of a boundless field of power, no longer susceptible of any definition." - Thomas Jefferson to George Washington, 1791

I saw that picture before ST:TMP with a little description beside it saying it was the main ship from a Roddenberry series about a genius crew exploring outer space. I don't recall if there was ever a title attached, but I think this was meant to be a kind of "Star Trek" closer to our own time period, not so far into the future.

Wow. I never knew there was that much info on that ship. It sounds like it might have made for an interesting series. But 10:1 m/a ratio? I don't think so!------------------ Photon torpedoes, once a finite supply, haven't been a problem since all those Wal-Marts opened up in the Delta Quadrant. -Jim Wright
