Obviously, there's no accounting for taste. So not only is Wesley back, but he's got some hot babe on his arm? The universe is mocking us.

Yes, it is.

We can only hope that a residual affect from the game comes back and she bludgeons him to death.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

I will boycot this movie. Well...maybe not...

Why in the world would A) Ashley Judd agree to do such a bit part standing next to Wil Wheaton? B) Robin Lefler go to some higher plane of existance with the Boy?

Maybe the story development for Wesley is that he's gone insane and has started using his new God-like powers to brainwash women that he likes.

Maybe Wesley has been hanging around with Kevin Uxbridge and this whole 'wife' thing is a massive fake to get his mother of his back?

No.

A few years ago, who ever would have thought that "The Boy"'s Web site would be an oft-cited source of Trek spoiler information...?

Posted by Sol System (Member # 30) on :

Ha, that's nothing. Who would have thought that Trek geeks, and I use the term with love and inclusiveness, would be confronted with the knowledge that Wheaton is, quite fundamentally, one of us. That's the mindblower.

On another note, call me weak, but I thought the cameo was a neat idea.

Neater than Bryan Singer as "Unnamed Bridge Crewmember #702-B?"

Well, the difference being that I could pick Ashley Judd out of a lineup.

And pay for the priviledge.

Zing!

Personally, I'd sooner see Ashley Judd return to her Trek role in some more substantial way.

Yeah, like firing Wesley out of a torpedoe tube.

Interestingly enough, the only reason I know how Bryan Singer is is because I just saw The Usual Suspects immediately prior to coming here...

You do, I hope, mean "who" ...

I was watching Ashley Judd on some other talk show a few days/weeks back - and I thought - they never mention her stint on TNG... I wish she would just show up... And as for Wil Wheaton - he could be dispelling rumours - to keep the suprise?

Or maybe they digitally edit her in!?! ;o)

have fun [Big Grin] :

Maybe the whole plot is set in a malfunctioning holodeck - but because of the power failures of the main generator they cant open the doors because the evil romulans are shooting at the enterprise, enterprise cant shoot back because not only are the phasers offline, but the Some Other Crewmember left in charge of the bridge dies within the opening nanoseconds of the attack. at the same time the crew of sickbay who [for dramatic effect] were not in the holodeck like evryone else (meaning the actors who get listed on the poster - 'cept Crusher), they try to free the trapped crewmembers, since the sickbay crew are the only ones who were immune to some weird romulan bioweapon who had put the rest of the enterprise crew to sleep. Not only that the diplomats they were ferrying across federation space were kidnapped by the romulans and sold of to the ferengis as slaves! AT the same time the command crew of the enterprise sans crusher is concocting a plan to [insert technobabble explanation]...and using that plan escape the holodeck. Meanwhile some half-wit admiral brings up a fleet of Akiras wit 15 torpedo tubes and megaSuperHyperTrippleBlastingPulsating phasers only to be routed by 3 romulan bird of prey who had not only came from the past but also from the Mirror Universe! ANd the next thing we see, Captain Archer and his enterprise fly into view blasting those evil rommies into oblivion only to be pulled back into his own timeline due to [insert technobabble explanation]...so the enterprise-E is left lying adrift and a romulan fleet of BigBird dreadnaughts approach commanded by the federations worse enemy ( note: cameo appearances by Berman & Braga as Romulan fleet commanders). and then when we least expect it the voyager with megaSuperHyperTrippleBlastingPulsating Coffee machine commanded by Adm Janeway warps into view scaring away the romulan fleet. and just as we expect the happy ending...we hear a buzz of a voice with many voices and...Picard wakes up in a chair clutching his face....

to be continued in STXI!!!!!

sorry i couldnt help myself, all of the above is posted in jest, naturally and no offense was meant.

Of course, if Lefler appears as Crusher's wife, then that makes New Frontier totally non-canon. What a shame. 8)

Not really.. you might have noticed that NF takes place about a year or two behind 'current' Trek production to allow David to catch up with any continuity issue presented... the last New Frontier story was the 'Gateways' crossover and "Being Human", which run concurrent with the DS9 relaunch (about a year after WYLB) and with VGR's 6th or 7th season. If Lefler were to be referenced in any modern Trek production (which i think it has been conclusively proved she won't), David would have two years or more (depending on the timeframe of Nemesis) to work that into his novel

Look on the bright side; maybe Wes will be so distracted by her he'll not notice the (insert name of weapon here) heading in his direction. [Big Grin]
