I'm looking for schematics for a TOS movie era (2290's) engineering room, and associated machinery (power output to nacelles, etc). Help would be appreciated.

The Cut-away model is probobly the best bet.

In the Interiors section of Spike's website, there is a cut-away type drawing of it (Engine Room, USS Enterprise NCC-1701, Federation Enterprise-class). Not schematics, I know, but maybe it would help...

That won't be 2290s, though. And perhaps it's best not to have too exact schematics of the 2290s version, but rather pretend that it was NOT a complete reuse of the E-D set with confusing camera angles...

I don't have it with me at the moment (it's at home, I'm at the dorm), but IIRC "Mr. Scott's Guide to the Enterprise" has some plans of the E-nil-refit's engine room. Granted, those are based more on TWOK and TSFS than later scenes. (Did we even see Engineering in TFF? If we did, I must've blanked the memory.)

We *sorta* see Engineering... It's mostly just the end of the Jefferies tube set with a couple consoles and some off-camera glowey lights, when the E-A is launching (Scotty says something about geting out to push). It's *supposed* to be Engineering (anyone want to check the script?) but could easily be almost anywhere else.

Firstly, that picture is waaay to wide to be inline-linked. Secondly, it's stealing Gislo's bandwidth. Please edit it to a link rather than an inline.
Incidentally, that's a Doug Drexler cutaway done specifically for the Captain's Chair CD-ROM.

I always assumed that the Engineering room remained similar to that seen in TWOK - but that the part we see in STV was in the aft portion of the upper secondary hull, where the conduit splits to go to the two nacelle supports. True, the angles are wrong - so maybe this is an entirely different part of the ship - something to do with internal power (since I believe that is what Scott is working on at the time).
I find it hard to believe that the TWOK engine room would be modified extensively.
