Is it me or do these two ships look similar?------------------ "But I want it that way" -Backstreet Boys

Well, I must admit, they do look vaguly alike, but that's about it. For one thing, the Akyazi-class is significantly smaller than the Akira-class. Another thing, I'm not sure about the Akyazi's armament, but seeing as where it's a perimeter action ship, I don't think it has as much armament as the Akira does.------------------ Fabrux's Starship Page

Well it's a starship that was created by someone, whose name escapes my mind. It is non-canon and in the 2280-2290's time era in the Trek universe.------------------ "But I want it that way" -Backstreet Boys

Hm... They don't look terribly similar to me...And is there any reason that Akira's pod has been amputated? :-) ------------------ Pierce: "We're back!" Winchester: "Yes, like a burp from a bad onion..." -some episode of M*A*S*H that I happened to see

What did happen to the weapons pod on that Akira?Anyway, if you look at both ships from above, you may see some vague similarities. ------------------ "...the sky's the limit." Picard's last words in "All Good Things..."

I actually have no clue what happened to the pod on that Akira. I found the pic on the net and saved it. It's the only Akira-class pic on my hardrive, so I used it for my site.------------------ Fabrux's Starship Page

The pod is only on the Akula subclass. The two other subclasses are Akyazai and Arbtier. Further information is available upon request. They do look similar. I noticed that when I got the book. ------------------
