What is the procedure that you follow when you are listing a Starfleet starship in the encyclopedia? From reading Trimble's Concordance, the various internet chat rooms, and the episodes that there are ships not listed in the encyclopedia. I am curious as to hou you decide what to put in and what to keep out. Thank you. (Colin)<P>A. Much of the info in Trimble's Concordance regarding ship registries was stuff I provided to her. In cases where I didn't put it in the encyclopedia, it's probably just my oversight. We try to put in all the ships for which we feel we have reasonable documentation, be it markings on a ship model, Starfleet 'status report' screen graphics, or actual dialog. There are many people involved with such things-the art department, visual effects department, the writers and producers, model makers who are work at outside shops under contract, computer animation companies, and others. As a result, it's surprisingly difficult to keep track of all those sources of information-which is even self-contradictory at times-so it's not surprising that some mistakes creep in.
