Q. What is the procedure that you follow when you are listing a Starfleet starship in the encyclopedia? From reading Trimble's Concordance, the various internet chat rooms, and the episodes that there are ships not listed in the encyclopedia. I am curious as to hou you decide what to put in and what to keep out. Thank you. (Colin)
A. Much of the info in Trimble's Concordance regarding ship registries was stuff I provided to her. In cases where I didn't put it in the encyclopedia, it's probably just my oversight. We try to put in all the ships for which we feel we have reasonable documentation, be it markings on a ship model, Starfleet 'status report' screen graphics, or actual dialog. There are many people involved with such things-the art department, visual effects department, the writers and producers, model makers who are work at outside shops under contract, computer animation companies, and others. As a result, it's surprisingly difficult to keep track of all those sources of information-which is even self-contradictory at times-so it's not surprising that some mistakes creep in. Mike.

Ohhh...it was a question to Okuda-san! :::shakes head in annoyed amazement:: People gotta learn to PREFACE shit around here...
Bernd: I picked up the most recent (1995) printing of the "Concordance" as one of the 1st things I bought on eBay, so it's readily available there. There's nothing really "new," just the ST6 ships which you already have, although the TAS stuff is fun.
