I just noticed something on this picture that might help the "shuttlebay is to small to support shuttle craft, Neelix's shuttle, and the delta flyer" debate. Take a look at the pic below. Is it just me or is there another door INSIDE the shuttle bay leading further inside Voyager. Could there be a MUCH larger shuttle bay area behind that door? Could Neelix's shuttle and Voyager's other shuttles be located behind this other door?

There have been references to a second shuttle bay on Voyager in the past. This second bay could be located directly behind the main one on the same deck but have some kind of other egress point. The deck below the hanger deck is probably used in part for shuttle storage. The blueprints for the E-D show that that is done for all 3 of that ship's bays. ------------------ "You don't tug on Superman's cape. You don't spit into the wind. Wow, 50 or more posts? That is really f***ing dumb, no offense intended. That was just a general gripe.Anyway, I don't see the picture you're refering to, but I have thought of tis myself, and really it makes sense (though the alternate egress idea doesn't seem right to me). It is a very big possibility that we are merely seeing a small section of the shuttlebay, like in TNG, where we only ever saw the two auxilary bays, never the main one! That, by the way, really pissed me off. If any of those "schematics" were accurate as far as scale goes, the main shuttlebay on the Galaxy was Gimungous.

How big is Neelix's ship? It has to be bigger than a shuttle if he lived on it and transported junk, but small enough to fit in Miss Voyager. The only time I saw it was in "The Chute", and there was no point of reference to scale with...About shuttlebays, which Starfleet vessel has the biggest? I think the Ent-D only had space for five shuttles and a runabout, so they didn't seem to prioritize that aspect... ------------------ Here lies a toppled god, His fall was not a small one. Five shuttles. You've got to be joking. Shuttlebay 1 on the Ent-D is immense. I've got pictures of the interior showing plenty of room for many more shuttlecraft.I would love to post them but I haven't got a clue how to do it. Can anyone help? Via E-mail possibly? ------------------ RIMMER [as Ace]: "Stoke me a clipper, I'll be back for Christmas."

The Galaxy Class main shuttle bay and storage facilities carry over 50 shuttles from what I remember. And the Main shuttle bay was acually shown once. In "Cause and Effect" when Data decompressed it to move the ship.------------------ "You don't tug on Superman's cape. You don't spit into the wind. There's a charmingly obvious reason why none of you can see MIB's pic. It's linked to: "file:///C:/WINDOWS/Desktop/Alex/delta-shuttlebay.jpg".Awww. MIB: You can't link to files on your hard drive. While you can access it, the other several million internet users unfortunatly can't. We're not magic. Upload it onto the internet, either your own server space, or use the flare upload thingy. ------------------ "And Mojo was hurt and I would have kissed his little boo boo but then I realized he was a BAD monkey so I KICKED HIM IN HIS FACE!" -Bubbles

The first time that the main shuttlebay is seen is in the episode "The Best of Both Worlds, Part 2". This is when the unnamed shuttlecraft is seen leaving the Enterprise saucer. On the shuttlecraft's port, we see doors that lead to a corridor. These doors are closed. So, if this information is added to the information seen in the episode "Cause and Effect", we have some limited information on the area of the shuttlebay closest to the hangar doors. ------------------

Now I've finally got to know the "upload thingy". Here are the pics of the interior of the Ent-D main shuttlebay aka shuttlebay 1: http://flareupload.hypermart.net/files/bay1entrance.jpg http://flareupload.hypermart.net/files/bay1interior.jpg Pic 1 shows the model built for "Cause and effect" Pic 2 is an interior model built by Greg Jein IIRC, which was never used in an episode Can't remember where I got the pictures from, so I don't know who to credit. Sorry. ------------------ RIMMER [as Ace]: "Stoke me a clipper, I'll be back for Christmas."

That little door on the Starboard wall of the bay must either be an airlock or access to a really narrow crawlspace. It's right on the outer hull!------------------ "You don't tug on Superman's cape. Not quite. Look at the galaxy saucer top view. It seems that the exterior side walls of the hangar deck extend in a curve to the floor, leaving room at least for a standard corridor. It's not just a straight wall.Take a look at this for explanation: http://flareupload.hypermart.net/files/galaxy.jpg ------------------ RIMMER [as Ace]: "Stoke me a clipper, I'll be back for Christmas."

Mmmm. Maybe. Darn narrow corridor though. There also seems to be an observation gallery of some sort right above that door in the first pic.------------------ "You don't tug on Superman's cape. I have never before seen those pictures, and even though they allude to the immensityof the Galaxy's main shuttle size, it doesn't do it justice. I don't know how consistent the "Galaxy class blueprints" are with other information, but the main shuttle bay is shown to extend all the way to the center of the saucer. That elliptical protrusion above the saucer but below the bridge (deck 1)? about three decks of that, if I remember correctly, are devoted the the shuttle bay. It has maintenence bays, refueling stations, and I reckon even construction facilities. An interesting note about the "blueprints," though. They do not show the 'corridor' portion of the shuttle bay. ------------------ "Evil takes many forms, but my favorite is a jelly donut."
