I just noticed something on this picture that might help the "shuttlebay is to small to support shuttle craft, Neelix's shuttle, and the delta flyer" debate.
Take a look at the pic below. Is it just me or is there another door INSIDE the shuttle bay leading further inside Voyager. Could there be a MUCH larger shuttle bay area behind that door?
Could Neelix's shuttle and Voyager's other shuttles be located behind this other door?

There have been references to a second shuttle bay on Voyager in the past. This second bay could be located directly behind the main one on the same deck but have some kind of other egress point.

The deck below the hanger deck is probably used in part for shuttle storage. The blueprints for the E-D show that that is done for all 3 of that ship's bays.

Wow, 50 or more posts? That is really f***ing dumb, no offense intended. That was just a general gripe.

Anyway, I don't see the picture you're refering to, but I have thought of tis myself, and really it makes sense (though the alternate egress idea doesn't seem right to me). It is a very big possibility that we are merely seeing a small section of the shuttlebay, like in TNG, where we only ever saw the two auxilary bays, never the main one!
That, by the way, really pissed me off. If any of those "schematics" were accurate as far as scale goes, the main shuttlebay on the Galaxy was Gimungous.

How big is Neelix's ship? It has to be bigger than a shuttle if he lived on it and transported junk, but small enough to fit in Miss Voyager. The only time I saw it was in "The Chute", and there was no point of reference to scale with...

About shuttlebays, which Starfleet vessel has the biggest? I think the Ent-D only had space for five shuttles and a runabout, so they didn't seem to prioritize that aspect...

Five shuttles. You've got to be joking. Shuttlebay 1 on the Ent-D is immense. I've got pictures of the interior showing plenty of room for many more shuttlecraft.

I would love to post them but I haven't got a clue how to do it. Can anyone help? Via E-mail possibly?

The Galaxy Class main shuttle bay and storage facilities carry over 50 shuttles from what I remember. And the Main shuttle bay was acually shown once. In "Cause and Effect" when Data decompressed it to move the ship.

There's a charmingly obvious reason why none of you can see MIB's pic. It's linked to: "file:///C:/WINDOWS/Desktop/Alex/delta-shuttlebay.jpg".

Awww.

MIB: You can't link to files on your hard drive. While you can access it, the other several million internet users unfortunatly can't. We're not magic. Upload it onto the internet, either your own server space, or use the flare upload thingy.

The first time that the main shuttlebay is seen is in the episode "The Best of Both Worlds, Part 2". This is when the unnamed shuttlecraft is seen leaving the Enterprise saucer. On the shuttlecraft's port, we see doors that lead to a corridor. These doors are closed.

So, if this information is added to the information seen in the episode "Cause and Effect", we have some limited information on the area of the shuttlebay closest to the hangar doors.
