I dabble in 3d and 2d art as often as I break from watching/playing/programming (which isn't too often). I started this piece for the Blizzard art contest. Doubt I'll finish it though!
If anyone is interested, I'll dig out some old ship/tank/cyborg models. Always happy to do the occasional request/help.

Heavily cool. I'd love to see it textured.

That reminds me of the M1A1 Abrams tank I took a shot at in Maya, after nearly 5 years of no 3D work...
Hope its okay to post here...

Shall I nitpick mistakes in the M1, or is it an old project that doesn't matter?
Both the Siege Tank and the M1 models look good, though.

Very nice renders.
I've only been involved in low poly modeling until recently, and my tank is restricted to 2000 polygons (the tracks may be pushing it a little).

3D Studio Max 7. Just an omni light used for the renders.

Is that Max with Brazil or something? Just radiosity? Looks cool at any rate.

now that i look again, your siege tank owns me...
I used Maya. I know about the mistakes in the M1, especially the backwards treads.

The treads look okay, just have really wide pads, the road wheels on the other hand....
Now, I'd feel better if I had access to a 3D program I'd feel better about picking.....

How the hell'd you afford Maya? I dabble a wee bit in this sort of thing... Blender and POVRay mostly.
