However, maybe you can try inverting just the aft section of the saucer superstructure? That might be a compromise between the two configurations.

You know, this would be a great idea for a Forum contest. See how much stuff you can add to the original Miranda design so that it can technically be regarded as a new class. I don't mean kitbashing or rearranging the original design, I mean adding so many original parts to the frame that the resemblance to a Miranda should be only a vague one at best. Put Greg Jein & his goofy Soyuz class ship to shame!

You know Dukhat, that would be a good idea. You just need that era specifically parts. No Galaxy secondary hull.

Yeah, that sounds sweet Dukhat. Although right now, I'm in the middle of a project of my own and I don't really want to put it off.
