You know you do. I'm not talking about Trek specifically - I'm talking Halloween, other conventions, wierd events you'd dress up for. You've taken pictures. Show 'em.

What will it take to shove it back in?
Hmm... it's odd, because this is exactly how I pictured you! Posted by Shik (Member # 343) on :
Um..
Hm.
I'm glad to say there are no pictures of me in genre anything since I was about....6.

Wow, and to think Paramount were worried they wouldn't be able to auction off those skants.

I don't feel quite so bad about being a Trekkie dork any more... That's unnerving, Mark. Unfortunately, 1) I have a tendancy to never find the people who took pics of me at events and 2) all of my genre costumes are in storage during this time of transition so I can't get new ones taken for a couple months yet. I'll flood this thread when I can, though... Why do we have no "evil grin" smiley?
Just to warn y'all. I have no "cosplay" gender-bender costumes... nothing from anime (yet). I do have my early-2366 Trek uniform and some Star Wars stuff (being in the 501st). So there shouldn't be anything as shocking as Mark up there.

I have a pic of me in an Austin Powers costume for Halloween last year. I'll see if I can dig it up.

Please do so. As for the rest of you:
a) My legs look fantastic.
b) I'm not a costumer; I just host lots of 'em, and people often make costumes for me to wear.
c) Somewhere in my packed boxes is a VOY/DS9 yellow-shouldered jumpsuit which still fits. No one ever mistook me for Harry Kim, though.

Somebody explain to the lad. And maybe post the pic if you have it, because I don't have it handy.

If you guys will kindly wait for a few more weeks, I can post a pic of my roommate in his Freakazoid costume that we're working on. I suppose that's a genre...Superhero....or...Cartoon...

I have a male skant uniform but it's science and not command... which pisses me off beyond belief. I'll be Jill Valentine from Resident Evil: Apocalypse this year btw.

I think we should make posting stuff like this a TOS violation. I need Drano to clean out my eyes now.
Ow.

P.S. I'll make it up to you with a pic of Jen in her Slave Leia outfit when I finish it. Posted by Cartman (Member # 256) on :
What's there to finish on that thing?

Hey, those tassles aren't going to knot themselves, you know.

Lots of cast peices that need cleaning up and painting/antiquing, cutting the faux leather to shape and securing it...
I've only got a small and crappy pic of this right now, but here it is anyway...I'll get better ones later. Behold, my roommate...as FREAKAZOID! http://fserv.skill-club.com/getfile.php?f=145&s=1a84 Posted by Dukhat (Member # 341) on :
I'm still on the hunt for my Austin Powers pic, but in the meantime, here's me from two Halloweens ago giving absolution to a co-worker (and before anyone asks, no, I'm not into altarboys).

I thank God every time I see this thread that I don't have pictures of me dressed up. Even if I did, I've never dressed up in anything genre specific. Unless you count the Ninja Turtles costume I had when I was 5. I was also a Ninja, a Hobo, a Devil, a Guy riding a horse, and a Lobster. (seafood really creeps me out, especially the ones with an exoskeleton)

I'm gonna stick out like a sore thumb at work tomorrow. I think I'm the only one who won't go dressed up. But you can't very well serve food with giant skeleton gloves, and without those I just don't have the heart to wear the silly cape and carry round a scythe. Which is the extent of my costume.

I know it is like 12 years - but wow it's weird to see someone essentially look the same but be just... older. I think it is because the clothes that you are wearing aren't "dated" i.e. the costumes and the quality of the photos hasn't changed - AND you are presenting them in one go - so it looks like they could be taken at the same time. I can't explain it properly but - maybe I just did.
