With the absense of good episodes from the Star Trek franchise (and the fact that they air Voyager at the most horrid times), I find myself "withdrawn" from Star Trek, and hopelessly hooked into another TV show.

Almost 5 days a week now, you can catch me in front of the TV watching reruns of "Law and Order". Course I still like Trek. No doubt about it, but the fact that the writers are doing a horrid job of it is kinda pushing me to find an alternative source of entertainment.

What about you? In the absense of good eps from Star Trek, what are you watching?

Though I can still catch Voyager and reruns of DS9 and TNG, I find myself watching ER frequently as I can get reruns everyday of the week including weekends. I wish I could get the original series but its not airing when I think it is. What time is it on anyway?

I find FarScape fills my Star Trek craving just fine.

Whenever I can, I watch all the 'Late shows': Letterman, Leno, Kilborne, and O'Brien. (They way my cable is, they all air at different times. 9pm-1am). That's all the TV I watch.

Oh, and Tom Green, and The Daily Show with Jon Stewart.

Star Trek (1 am)

Unfortunately for all you saps who don't live in Atlantic Canada, you don't get ASN

I also spend inordinate amounts of time watching documentaries on TLC with my dad

I get all of the Trek series at one time or another, throughout the week. I've been watching Buffy since the reruns started. Mostly I watch TLC and History.

Ahhh yes... Withdrawal... I surprised a few friend of mine by watching less Star Trek.

I think Andrew has the best covered already:
Stargate-SG1, Buffy, Angel and Earth: Final Conflict. Add to that: Cleopatra 2525 and I hope Andromeda.

I'm sure Liam will be along soon to savage all non-Buffy types.

At any rate, a small list of what I've been watching this summer:

Inside the Actor's Studio
Blackadder (mostly the third and the fourth ones)
Mystery Science Theater 3000
Uh...a whole bunch of stuff that I don't catch regularly out of laziness.

I find SeaQuest and First Wave properly entertaining. SeaQuest is a bit annoying though, because it runs at 3pm so you can't watch it unless on a vacation.
I also get Babylon 5 at sundays, the last ep's of season 5, so new ground for me.
Of course, I get Voyager too, thursdays at 19:00. I was lucky there, I had a Trek-lapse between "Future's End" and "Scorpion" 3 years ago and that's just what they show now, so woohoo for me!!!

There's one man with taste ... I don't know if CC fired Kilborne or Kilborne left CC (I think the latter), but it was CC's loss, CBS's gain.

SeaQuest

There's two men with taste. They stopped airing SQ after 8th grade ended (that's three years ago for those of you who don't know me). That first season of SQ (not the other two) ranks up there with the best of Science Fiction. How Rob Schnieder should be in more things ...

Funny thing here is tht Voyager's on practically all the time. TNG Sundays at 6. Voyager at 8 on UPN, 9 on FOX (week days). DS9 at 11 (week days).

Frasier gets my fix during the Voyager (Janeway "Coffee, Black .. Oil, Crude") era. The most hillarious, yet true, quote a few nights ago from Niles: "Lawyers are like my patients; they have excellent health insurance yet they only get worse."

quote:
Unfortunately for all you saps who don't live in Atlantic Canada

On another tone, is it true that in Canada they have a network that covers live 24/7 Hockey and Lax? If there is such a thing, I wish I had it.

LOL, Sol System, I love the quote. Picard jokes are always the best ...
