From IMDb. I guess Lefler WILL be there...but notice Wil's not mentioned?

I trust IMDB about as far as I can throw its server. It's notoriously inaccurate, and mistakes often take months to fix. Like this one, which was probably submitted by a reader who saw the Judd interview.

From Wheaton's homepage:
quote:
I spoke with my manager, and he made some calls about Trek X. The word is that it's too early to know if I'm out or not, and it doesn't make a whole lot of sense to cut my scene, so this may turn out to be a Stupid Internet Rumor(tm). I am grateful that I have good people working for/with me, who care about my career as much as I do.

I've submitted to IMDb for some time now, so I know exactly how accurate (and inaacurate) a source of info it can be. I personally sent in a delete command for Judd last week, but these things take time. Looks like someone jumped the gun on the original rumour.

So who will be in the film other than the senior staff? Will Troi's mother be there?

Been made clear that, no, Majel won't be there as Lwaxana.

Confirmed through official channels have been the Magnificent Seven, plus two main baddies in the form of Tom Hardy (Shinzon) and Ron Perlman (Viceroy). Also confirmed officially have been brief appearances of Wheaton, Goldberg and Mulgrew, and supporting roles held by Dina Meyer (Donatra) and Steven Culp (Madden). Stewart's confirmed in interviews that X-Men director Brian Singer appears as a bridge officer on the Ent-E and actually has speaking lines, so it isn't by the conventional definition a true cameo. Lanier ("Young Ensign") was added to the IMDb out-of-the-blue several months ago and I understand that there a role of that exact name in the film, so in all likelihood this info came from him or his agent and is accurate.

FUCK! No Lwaxana!?! It's her DAUGHTER'S WEDDING!!! The one thing she has been HARPING about for years and years. I hope they give a reason why... like maybe Dominion Negotiations - or she's still trying to fix what happened (occupation) to Betazed!?!

Bugger Bugger Bugger... A few line wouldn't have hurt. Will Deanna be going BTW, I assume this won't be a TRADITIONAL Betazoid wedding?

I thought I read where Lwaxana and Mr. Homm would be attending.

*tsk*

Sufficient reason is given.

Well, the thread title says there are "casting" spoilers, so I guess I should point out that the spoilers I'm about to give are actual plot spoilers.

Anyway, IIRC, the reason Lwaxana Troi isn't seen at the wedding is because the wedding isn't seen, just the reception. Either that, or there are two weddings, one on Earth and one on Betazed, and we only see part of the Earth one. I remember hearing both things, but I don't recall which one was in the supposed script, and which was just a pure rumor.

They're having the reception on Earth and they were on their way to Betazed to have the naked wedding ceremony with Lwaxana when they get...sidetracked. (I won't go into further detail about how they get sidetracked... [Wink] )

The Real Life reason is that Majel's just too expensive. Not to mention she'd never be content with "just a few lines."

She most certainly is not.
