If anyone has this issue, could you scan pp 66-68 and post please? I'm told a ship I designed is displayed.

I saw that in the store just yesterday. It's in an article about the Decipher artwork & it shows the Thruxton design...USS Argyll, I believe.

Speaking of the Communicator, awhile back they had a picture of that map hanging in Mayweather's room on the Horizon. I wonder if anyone has a scan of that.

I'd guess he doesn't, since he's asking about the map, not a ship schematic.

To my knowledge, the Thruxton class tactical cruiser design first appeared in "StarFleet Prototype", back in '92, and I'm pretty sure the CCG you're talking about wasn't around back then. Apparently, the CCG folks have used his design for the game.

Personally, I'm interested to know if they got David's permission to use it....

I don't think that was the design in the article, though. I very clearly remember it labeled as USS Argyll NCC-3090 & I do believe it had 3 nacelles.

1 statement and 1 question:

I reckon that ship looks better if it as upside down.

Q: What program do people use to make those sorts of schematic pictures - there are lots especially at shipschematics.net

I think so. It's been almost a week since I saw it, though...& it was in passing. But I think that might be it.

Yeah, that's pretty much it, the Adamant DNF design from Starfleet Prototype. I don't recall the ventral deflector array, though. That artist took some liberties with the design. Here you go.

But whilst taking liberties he didn't fix the problem with the aft torp tubes and the centre nacelle...

The best part is that -- from the picture -- it looks like that's supposed to be an Ambassador-style saucer, at least according to the windows. But the engines, torpedo pod, and bridge module are all the same Miranda-derived bits of the original design. I am not too impressed with the "artist"...
