Came up with an idea for a ship. Though my idea was for a specific ship, I thought I shoud design the base template first. After I'm done, I will modify it into a few 'custom' versions.

Reminds me of the Republic Cruiser from Episode I.

Do all TOS ships have to be so simplistic though - I'd like to see more TOS ships done with more detail - like we couldn't see it normally due to the quality of the film at the time
I mean the Enterprise still painted white - but maybe more detailing somehow. I don't know.
Maybe a faint aztec pattern UNDER the white paint.

thats how I see it. The original series was an approximation of what the ships actually looked like. Im almost positive the Enterprise had more then a few windows and features then it appeared to have.

Blegh. The original Enterprise was clean and un-cluttered, with all the important bits carefully placed on the inside of the hull. No need to hang your expensive equipment outside in cold space.

I think I might like the design better if the nacelle struts connected to the mail body rather than the upper part. I'd like to see this in 3-d though to see what you do with the forward area.
