Well, look at the new Batmobile. Yes, Batmobile.

Talk about a manifestation against the streamlining and organic design of the 90's.

I've seen it before, although I'm sure it had a (worse) colour-scheme than last time.

I'm undecided. It's an interesting approach, although possibly smacking of "let's make it not what they expect to SHOCK them SHOCKINGLY!" And I did really like the Batmobile shown in the first two movies and the initial run of the cartoon. It looked shit in Forever and & Robin though.

Yes, you're despicable, and... and picable... and... and you're definitely, definitely despicable. How a person can get so despicable in one lifetime is beyond me. It isn't as though I haven't met a lot of people. Goodness knows it isn't that. It isn't just that... it isn't... it's... it's despicable.

It's pretty much a tank. I'm not immediately against it, as I think it fits in with the image they're trying to give Bats this time around. I'm tremendously excited about this movie. It has definite possibilities.

Well if it's a tank, where be the gun(s)?
I liked the Batflyer of Keaton's movie, twin gatling guns. Way too underexposed, that was.

I hope it "smooths" out when in drive mode, all those chinks in the plates kind of defeat the purpose of protecting the soft innards.
The six servo-driven spoilers on the rear of it, that's what gives it the "reman warbird"-look.

I can't for the life of me remember what the Batmobile looked like in The Dark Knight Returns, but wasn't it also a bit tank-ish?

Wow! Now I know what would happen if Pablo Picasso and H.R. Giger had painful, raunchy sex, and their bastard love child designed the Batmobile!

I think that vehicle from Dark Knight Returns was supposed to be Bat-tank, as opposed to "ordinary" Batmobile.

Anyway, I must say that I don't like this Batmobile.

At all.

It looks like... Transformer caught in the middle of transformation or something. But most importantly, it doesn't look bat-like. Where are the bat-fins? Bat-logo? Hell, even giant bat-head attached to hood wouldn't be half bad compared to this... nondescript vehicle.

Sigh...

It looks like Batman had a problem, no-one else could help, and then found and hired the A-Team. Yes.

It looks like something from Junkyard Wars. Before being made into a vehicle.

That is hideous. I loved the first movie incarnation of the Batmobile. This is... well... words can't describe what this is. And it's not even called the Batmobile. It's called the "Tumbler". (?!?) Here's another image from that same site that they scanned from a Rolling Stone article.

I think the idea is that it was originally some sort of assault vehicle that Wayne Industries was building, that got co-opted by the new Batman as the first Batmobile.

And before you ask the next question, you do have to wonder why no one identified the Green Goblin's flying platorm, either. [Wink]

It looks like a heavily-armored ATV. It looks interesting and all, but it just doesn't strike me as Batman vehicle. Yeah, it's black, but that's about it.

The Batmobile from the first two movies remains my favorite of the Batmobiles.

I think the Batmobile from the new animated series "The Batman" is pretty sweet too. The toy looks rockin'. I'm tempted to buy it now that I'm all working again and stuff.

Does anyone know a site with all the designs of the movies?
Which one was it that shed its outer layers and proceeded like a torpedo in the sewers? I thought that one looked very cool, like those old bullet-shaped race cars of the 1910's.

I think I can answer that, son.

Since he probably accelerates with pedals, the trigger on his joystick must do something nasty.

Also, we can see that this is a movie made in the 21st century, because now more than ever, people have learned the value of proper lipcare, applying colored balms of choice to keep lips nice and moist. Batman is a role model on so many levels.
