Holy frakkin' shit. That's about all I can say at the moment.

One question: what's the significance of that stripe or gash in the wall that Tyrol found in his last scene?

Possibly sabatage that already rendered the FTL inop (and possibly destructively inop. Clearly the damage was cylon in nature...)

Oh, or else it's related to the proposed (or already completed?) Cylon upgrades to the FTL drives.

Why do you say the damage was Cylon in nature? It looked more like natural stressing and damage to me... at first glance, anyway.

cuts, jagged, like the claws of a centurian. Though it beingh stress cracks is also plausable. i'd assume they would blame the cylons after a fashion...

I was a bit confused about that too, but I thought it was following up on what Kelly said about the ship being run down.

Well I guess this makes Lee Vice President, given he's the only surviving member of the government other than Laura.

As for those stress fractures...somehow I get the feeling Galactica will be destroyed in the final episode. She was old before she spent the last several years taking beating after beating with no drydock time and only minimal repairs. Eventually it's just going to break down permanently.

Oh and btw: First ever look at a jump drive! And it spools!!! [Big Grin]

Galactica is the dying leader. [Smile]

Yeah, it was nifty to see the jump drive. They did a good job of redressing the hangar bay set. Also, seeing Tyrol crawling through those grubby old maintenance tubes reminded me of a certain other Chief.

HOLY FRAK. You just blew my mind. I can't believe I never saw that.

But on second thought... well, there were a bunch of prophecies about the gods sending visions to the dying leader (remember "The Hand of God" and those snakes on the podium?). How do you send visions to a battlestar?

I second that mind-blowing.

Okay, and the other one: how can a ship learn the secret of the Opera House?

As awesome as it would be, I'm not sure they can actually make Galactica be the dying leader.

It would be a super cool twist, but it doesn't really hold any water. The only connections I can see are that Galactica's clearly falling apart, it's the leader of the fleet and it's had plenty of visions of Vipers. Nice idea though.

When I saw them, I immediately thought 'stress fractures'. Then it made me wonder if the ol' Gal would have survived another jump at this point.

All this time out, with no SLEP, continuous action, band-aid repairs....yeah... it is only a matter of time before she becomes a memory

Is Galactica still in Sol system? (Assuming they found our Earth).
