I'm not normally one to pass along those various stupid Internet memes, even if I privately write up a list (or a portion of one) for my own personal entertainment. But the results that I derived from this one were too funny to not pass along...

Instructions: Set your favorite MP3 player to random, select the first ten songs, and add the words "In My Pants" to the end of each title. Hilarity will ensue.

(Apologies if this is really old news... the entry I pulled from my friend's blog comes from a couple months ago, but still....)

1. "Journey to the Heavyside Layer In My Pants" (Cats: The Broadway Musical)
2. "Harry's Wondrous World In My Pants" (Soundtrack to Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone)
3. "Indy's Very First Adventure In My Pants" (Soundtrack to Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade)
4. "River Goes Wild In My Pants" (Soundtrack to Serenity)
5. "The Stargate Opens In My Pants" (Soundtrack to Stargate [The Movie])
6. "Dodgin' the Draft In My Pants" (Allan Sherman Live!)
7. "Greasy Kid Stuff In My Pants" (Bill Cosby Is a Very Funny Fellow)
8. "The Thunderer In My Pants" (John Philip Sousa Marches)
9. "My Life In My Pants" (Billy Joel's Greatest Hits, Volume II)
10. "Ellie's Bogey In My Pants" (Soundtrack to Contact)

The least surprising thread.

I'd hoped this would be something like 'All your base' or admiral Ackbar.

I've been out of town for a while, what's the latest big 'All you base'-killer nowadays?

Every time someone asks that, God kills a Domokun.

Aha? You're responding to me again. Progress.

Speaking of memes, does anyone know from where the "Epic Maneuver" song comes, which is played on almost every "Epic bla-bla maneuver" YTMND page? It sounds like from some sword-and-sandal or sci-fi show from the eighties. It seems to come in two versions; classic orchestra instruments or with electric guitars added.

Old version

Newer version

Oh, I always respond to you. Usually with revulsion, but hey, it's a response. 8)

how annoying

Posted by Ritten (Member # 417) on :

His response or his revulsion?

Posted by Lee (Member # 393) on :

Yes, you'd think Australians would be used to expressions of revulsion by now. . .

Posted by AndrewR (Member # 44) on :

Those animations.

revulsion... by... countries containing the word 'United'? [Smile]

Posted by Lee (Member # 393) on :

Yes, "United" - a damn sight better than "Pinched from the Abos by a bunch of convicts."

Posted by Wraith (Member # 779) on :

I don't think that's the official name...

I'm sorry but I had never come across the whole 'in your pants' thing...I love it. Work is very dull indeed today, in fact so much so that the contrast between it and the 'in your pants' song titles made me laugh out loud while drinking coffee...My keyboard now smells of souring milk...

I won't post mine, but I think the highlight was

Two out of three aint bad in my pants (Meatloaf)

This whole thing sounds like another variation on the old add "in bed" to whatever your fortune cookie says.

Posted by Ritten (Member # 417) on :

That would be for one reason.

It is.

Nim : If you click the YTMND logo in the upper left corner of either of those pages, it gives you some data about the page, including where the sound is from. One says "Nightwish", and the other expands that to "Nightwish - Ghost Love Score".

Use this information wisely.

Upon listening again, that is definately Nightwish. Good old Nightwish.

Not that I'm very PC, but Lee - Aboriginies are generally not referred to as such anymore.
