Canadians to Bush: Hope You Lose, Eh

----

Only 15 per cent, according to an exclusive new Maclean's poll, would definitely cast a ballot for Bush if they had the opportunity....Just 12 per cent of us feel Canada is better off since he took office, and only a third of respondents will admit to liking the world's most powerful man, even just a little bit.

Jonathon Gatehouse, Maclean's

Good stuff. Go Canada.

Who really cares what voting polls from other countries say about our elections though?

What does that mean? Do they poll British elections too?
I know the US mags dont worry so about canadian elections.

Wow. Thats actually a bit of a surprise.
While I was certainly aware Canadians didn't like Bush, I had no idea it was at that level.
It should certainly give Martin something to ponder.

Canadians have elections? I thought they just rotated it among the 30 residents.

No, but that's because the Canadian Prime Minister doesn't play Risk with real life countries.

And Canada's worried they're on the board?
Silly.

Does Canada have no news of their own to focus on?

Surprisingly, most other countries can cope with more than one news story at a time.

"I know the US mags dont worry so about canadian elections."

Yeah, but half the people here don't even know where Canada is, so what can you expect?

As Mr. Bush once said, Canada, one of our greatest northern neighbors.

Or some such.

Who were the other northern neighbours then? The Eskimos?

Not to mention news stories from different countries.

I've lived too close to Canada for too many years, and was never concerned on their PM, or a liberated Quebec for that matter......

You know, it feeds the typical US arrogance when they see something from another nation like this, it means that they care about our polical woes.... As it seems to me anyway.

I think the Canadians don't care so much as they are morbidly fascinated.

Well we were going to find a country that had its military and infrastucture mostly destroyed 14 years ago, that had santions placed on it where they were unable to rebuild this military or rebuild their infrastructure in those 14 years, then lie about their military capabilities to the world to justify a pre-emptive strike against them and then invade them, but that was so like 2003.

I can accept that, since that is all I am watching with now.... In IL you have to claim a party to vote in primary, which sucks big time for me...

And how did Canada get its name? They had to make it easy for them to spell...

"C" eh
"N" eh
"D" eh

Canadians are pretty stupid and have tiny penises and are probably all gay.

Posted by Jason Abbadon (Member # 882) on :

So you're Canadian?

...sorry, that was too easy.

Except that he is Canadian.

Oh, the irony.

Posted by Jason Abbadon (Member # 882) on :

huh.
I figured he was just being sarcastic, not admiting to some personal flaws.

Go figure.

I often lose track of what Flarites belong where, geographicly.

This wouldn't be such a problem if you'd take your medicine when you're supposed to.

Too easy, and not funny. You're on a winner there, aren't you?

I'm confused. Are you saying that Americans believe that other countries shouldn't pay attention to US politics? Or it feeds it in a "Oh, look, they care about our politics because we are the best country and everything!" sort of way?

Option Two.....

I think it is a good idea to keep tabs on who is in the White House and what that persons stance is on foreign policies, but, as has been pointed out, repeatedly here, there are a lot of Americans that are arrogant pukes that would take it the wrong way.

Posted by PsyLiam (Member # 73) on :

Not as long as their are still tragically unfunny people in the world who don't quite get this whole "wit" thing.

Posted by Alshrim Dax (Member # 258) on :

Ahahaha!! Well .. it DOES get old! [Wink]

Let's pick on the Beer Drinking... that's more fun...

What?

Posted by Alshrim Dax (Member # 258) on :

Maudit = Quebec Beer
