Apparently, some on the right are all upset with John Kerry.

They appear to be angry that Mr. Kerry is using the abuse of Iraqi prisoners Abu Ghraib as an example of incompetence in the present administration.
Apparently, Mr. Kerry's campaign is asking like-minded people, those who also think the present administration is incompetent, and who think that the way the present administration handled the abuse of Iraqi prisoners at Abu Ghraib is an example of that incompetence, to give some money to elect a new president.

The use, by the Republican Party, of pictures of Mr. Bush on Air Force One on 9/11 for fund raising purposes?
Which, to be fair, the Democrats moaned about.
And, then there is that old, "if you can do it, why can't I do it too," argument.
If it's ok for Mr. Bush and the Republican Party to use 9/11 - and they used actual images of flag-draped bodies - then why is it NOT ok for Mr. Kerry to point out that the abuse of Iraqi prisoners Abu Ghraib an example of incompetence in the present administration and ask for funds to facilitate it's removal?

Bush used 9/11 (a national TRAGEDY) to STAY in office. Kerry is using the A-G scandal (a national DISGRACE) to REMOVE him FROM it. That's not doing "what you first criticized the other guy for doing", that's POLITICS. You know, that ever-recurring game in which administrations are either re-elected for performing well or booted out of the government for fucking up?

well, duh. That and the fact that we've got our armed forces spread all over the middle-east and a new CinC might blow things even worse (difficult as that might be to imagine).
...and that I STILL have yet to hear Kerry state any kind of plan for Iraq-at all!

Well, he's better than Bush, and he's the only alternative. When you've got that, anything else is really just extra, anyway.
The fact is, you have two choices: Bush or Kerry. Four more years of Bush will send this country even farther downhill than the first four years have. So, why wouldn't you vote for Kerry?

It actually happened here. The Liberal government upset the Ruling Conservatives last year, simply because, well, everyone hated the Conservatives.
The only problem is that the Liberal government made too many promises during the election, and that the Conservative Government deliberately made a deficit so as to "trap" the Libs. See, they knew they would be voted out of power very soon, and so they decided to find a way to make sure that the Liberal reign was short.
Now, due to the $6 billion deficit, the Liberals have to start breaking promises. And it ain't pretty. It has gotten so bad that the term "Fiberals" has come up to term the current government.
Mind you, I didn't vote Liberal, heck I didn't vote at all that election. It was really a choice between a loser government and a government set up to be a loser.
