Indeed, Farscape kicks major SciFi butt... the 4-episode thriller looks to be great.

Are you people watching the same Sci-Fi Channel? Maybe there's something wrong with my vertical hold.

I like Farscape. I caught the first part of its 4 parter, after not watching it for a while, and it seems like it will be pretty good.

The FarScape finale completly blows away anything I have yet to see on the Sci-Fi Channel in years. The FX are the best ever, characters and costumes absolutly perfect. Just the whole look of everything is far more alien then what I have seen before. This show is definatly a keeper. And it appears the masses agree, since a 2nd season is already being filmed, and even actions figures a planed for release sooner or later!

I just...well, different strokes, I guess. But the Sci-Fi Channel has already lost the greatest show ever to appear on it.

Mystery Science Theater 3000. Quite possibly one of the greatest television shows ever, and that's only partially hyperbole.

Well, part II is now complete, and, big bang all over again! Lots more action, and the metal head guy has actually become pretty kewl.

The music, the look, everything is just perfect for this show.

Any Moya's baby looks like it can kick some ass!

Now awaiting Part III!

Well, FarScape is a new Sci-Fi Series on the Sci-Fi Channel. Here's the answers to your questions:

Plot: IASA Astronaut John Chrichton is launched into space with the Farscape 1, a small spacecraft he designed. The Farscape is made to attempt to use Earth's gravity to slingshot the craft at tremendous speeds. Unfortunatly, halfway through the test, Farscape 1 gets sucked into a wormhole. Chrichton ends up in a distant part of the Galaxy where the Farscape 1 collides with a Peacekeeper Marauder, destroyed the Marauder. The Farscape 1 then finds itself in a small battle, and is soon tractored into the bay of the largest ship there. When Chrichton gets out of the Farscape and ends up at the bridge, he finds himself onboard a Leviathan Prison Transport full of escaped aliens and a captured Peacekeeper. As for the Marauder Chrichton rammed, it contained the son of Captain Crase, an insane leader of a Peacekeeper fleet. He blames Chrichton for the death of his son, and vows revenge, sending his entire fleet after the stolen Leviathan. And the rest of the series is just the crew of the Leviathan running and finding new planets (ala Voyager, but much better and realistic)

Era: Pretty much right now, just in a different part of the galaxy!

Actors: Very good actors. I'll tell you about the Characters here though. First, John Crichton, son of an astronaut and astronaut himself. An alien in an alien world. Next, K'Dargo, a Luxan Soilder who killed his commanding officer in battle. Uses his powerful Qualta Blade as a weapon (half sword, half rifle). Very big and very strong. Next, Aeryn Sun, former Peacekeeper exiled on the Leviathan for "contamination". She longs to return to the Peacekeepers, but as the show continues, she decides to stay with the crew of Moya (their Leviathan). Next, Rygel XVI, a 2 foot former dictator dethroned by his traitor brother. Mainly the comedy of the show, he's in it only for himself. Also farts Helium. Now, Zhan, a blue skined, bald priest with the ability to heal others with touch. She's always calm and focused, but can still put up a fight. Next, Chyana, newcomer onboard Moya, she's an escaped psych patient, and skin and hair of all white. Sort of the "Kid" of the ship. Hasn't totally proven herself yet. And finally, Pilot, who is attached to Moya (I'll explain later), and controls everything Moya does. Pilot is the middleman of information between Moya and crew.

Ships: Ah, the good part. First off, Moya is a living ship (and she actually looks like one, too, instead of those Breen things). Moya is also pregnant, and recently gave birth to a new Leviathan, which, unfortuantly, is covered with weapons. It's a first of it's kind Leviathan. As for Moya, since it's a living ship, it has feelings, including fears. For instance, it is scared to go inside the atmosphere of a planet to land since it might get stuck. As for the other alien's ships, well, they are all totally original and all totally alien looking. Interiors as well. The only ships I do not like are Captain Craise's ship, which looks like an overloaded Bi-Plane.

Does that answer your questions Nimrod?

it was Captain Craise's brother that was killed, not his son.... but I'm just being picky, who wants to explain to him how the aliens can understand each other's speach?

For plot, I'd just put "Red Dwarf, minus the funny bits." No, seriously. The feel of the show seems almost identical, to me anyway.

They stuck translator microbes into Chrichton's foot so he can understand everyone elses speech. Apparantly all babies recieve it at birth.

Well, from the outsiders viewpoint, I had to watch this because of a friend (which I'll have to "repay" for this).

The first half hour of Part 1 was incredibly painful to watch and it almost made me turn it off and go upstairs (although LEXX was much worse). The second half just got to passable as Chrichton is captured yet once again and is tortured again.

Part 2, however, was quite good. There weren't any parts that I found extremely bad like I did in Part 1. However, Chrichton is a piss poor shot if he could hit Scorpius from that distance.

I'm not sure what Part 3 will bring. I can easily wait for it, but it would be interesting to see.

well it's me with some more Farscape news...

apparently a movie is in the works check out this Comming attractions by Corona, Farscape movie info/rumor page... http://www.corona.bc.ca/films/details/farscape.html

it has links to the shows two official web pages, yes that is right two official web pages, how many shows out there can boast two official web pages? Well this one has the Scifi channel official website, and the Jim Henson company official website, they are both well done, and contain different (not contradicting) information...The scifi site is done in a journal form, and the Jim Henson is just an information page, they both have char/cast bios. Just heard that a book series, and action figures are being released some time this year. Can you believe this is from one of the guys that brought us Seaquest!!!

Well, we are now in the hom stretch! Part III was just shown about 5 minutes ago, and again, way above par. Though, unfortunatly, it wasn't as good as the previous two. But there has to be a sour one in there somewhere. But, I'm not bashing the episode. FX, still way above anything else out there. Moya's new baby (about to recieve a name), the interior is excellent. Okuda and co. now have someone to compete with. As for the entire story down on the asteroid, well, it was getting a tad confusing in the middle of it all.

Not really sure what else to say about the episode, except that it was good, but not the best.

I think I missed the end of part 2, because I don't remember what happened to the the PK tech girl, all I remember is $$$ space

is that she was shot, and she got brought to Moya, but I didn't think she died. But she was not in the 3rd part, and John didn't seem sad?

I'm not sure if she died, either. It certainly seemed to imply that she died, but I'm still not sure. Also, what happened to the guy with the irom mask that covered the glowing part of his head?

The last part of the Finale is on tonight. I hope its as good as the other three episodes. Someone is going to defect to the Peackeapers, and one of them is going to defect to Moya's side. I think that Rygel might be the defector, but thats just my guess. Capt. Crace seems like he is about to leave the Sebeacen side, so he is probably defecting to Moya.

Posted by Grand Admiral Reese on :

I was right. Rygel did go to Crace's Command Carrier, and Crace did go to Moya. I guess that I'm pretty good at guessing.

I forgot about that guy with the thing on his head!! It seems the writers forgot about him to maybe? But now we have to wait till march for the next episodes.... It will be a long month wait...

You guys are talking about the 'thing in Crichton's head' multi-part episodes, right? The last few episodes of season 3?

I've seen them already, all of them, on the British BBC. They are FANTASTIC, and will sure leave you sitting, staring and taking a big *gasp*, which you most probably didn't do since 'Best of Both Worlds, part 1'.

I LOVE THIS SERIES!!! When does season 3 begin on the British BBC 1 or 2???

Shh. The British British Broadcasting Corporation is but one of the many Broadcasting Corporations (from Britain) that exist. In Britain. Or, indeed, outside of Britain.
