A suggestion?
Perhaps place a note in the main page informing a member if he/she has any private messages?
People don't seem to actually check unless they are told to do so.

OK, don't know if this is a bug or just some loser with his head up his ass, but I have two PMs sent to me on the 15th & 16th of June, from Zor Prime. Whoever the fuck that is.
First one:

Zor Prime posted a link to an article he wrote for another Web site. That was technically spam, so I removed the link, upon which he got angry and left. He was also unhappy that I called the article inaccurate (it was, though, and I can write at length why), but when I tried to contact him to explain, he had removed his email address and turned off private messages.
