Rams? Oilers? Titans? Just who's playing this year and what cities do the two teams parasitize anyway? I pay very little attention until the commercials or halftime. The rest of the time I just watch something else. You'd be amazed at what they put opposite the Superbowl. Drek, mostly drek, and not much else besides drek. It's slightly entertaining largely because it is drek, and if you're not a football fan, it's that, a mostly uninhabited internet, or the (deserted) outdoors.

Doesn't matter. I said yesterday that whomever goes to the Super Bowl, I'm still laughing my ass off anyway. I mean think about it, Tennesee? Tampa Bay? Jacksonville? St. Louis? Whatever happened to Los Angeles (I know they don't have a team), Chicago, New York? Any city over a million?

Ah, Football. An endeavour in which grown men are paid outrageous sums of money to carry a stuffed deceased calf skin, for some reason referred to as a "pigskin," from on end of a field to another. An endeavour for which cities and state governments will ignore the wishes of their residents, and create new facilities. An endeavour for which a billionaire will spend disgusting sum of money to have his own team.

Library. An endeavour in which grown men and women are paid piddling sums of money to provide valuable and vital information to entire communities, despite having to interact with the dregs of society on a daily basis. An endeavour in which many cities which could choose not to take part, and state governments spend trifles on. An endeavour on which most millionaires and billionaires since Carnegie spend diddly-squat.
