If you don't play Starcraft Brood war on Battle.net, then ignore this question.
I keep getting some sort of hangup from the network. That is, my Starcraft Game keeps dying on me for some strange reason. It keeps booting out of the program each time I start up a big attack force or something.
Anyone know why? Network problem? Modem?

Can't help you, but did you mean to write 'Starfleet' in the title?

I'm not sure if a moderator can do that, or not. But an admin can. And I did. :-)

Well... Apparently, I wasn't actually supposed to do that. So count yourself lucky... *L*

Tahna, the game itself quits or your disconnected from BNet?
If it's the game that quits turn off the music.
If it only happens when on BNet, then I don't know. I've tried playing SC:BW on BNet, but I find Kali much nicer. Also I've had connection problems with BNet that I don't with Kali.
But if you get this prob fixed maybe we can play a game, it's been a while, but I'd like to fight with or against someone new.

This is what usually happens:
1) I start up a new game, 3 on 3 team battle, with Big Game Hunters as the map. Speed is fastest. 2) Battle begins. I build up my forces. I'm usually Protoss during the battle. 3) I build enough Pylons to obtain a 200 Psi Limit. 4) I construct units so that 160-180 Psi is used. 5) I begin my attack 6) Boom!!! The program shuts off completely. When I mean shut off, the next thing I see is basically my Windows Desktop.
Music and animations are usually turned off when I play. I do keep the sound effects on for the sounds of battle going on.
I run on a 33.6 Kbps connection. I have a 1.6 GB HD which is pretty old compared to others, and I have a P133 with 48MB of RAM.
I was told that when B.net starts up, it automatically connects to a server hosted by a subsidiary of AT&T. This source also mentions that the server basically sucks, but no mention of disconnects. There are better servers around, but the connection is faster with the AT&T server.

Hey, Starcraft did that to me once, too. However, that was only the normal version. And I returned it back to my friend so I can't play any games

SC:BW use to quit on me until I turned off the music. But you're saying it only happens in online games so I have no clue sorry.
