Hi, I'm just wondering what is going on with my computer monitor, when it starts to get a pink shade to the screen, and then sometimes a greeny shade and then back to normal? All the plugs are pluged in but...

*shrug* Is it something to do with the cathode ray tube?

I am not an expert, but it sounds like it. My old old TV used to do that to me.

Could be the signal cable. Try this: Get it out the back of you PC, clean the pins a little with a soft brush (make sure they are staight) and put it back in.

Also, if this isn't it, try twisting and turning the cable when everything in on normally. If you get the weird colors, something is not right in the cable.

You need to degauss your monitor. Somewhere on the settings for it (either a button or on the on-screen menu) there will be a little magnet icon with a line through it.

It's easy, stop whacking off! Masturbation has been known to curve the spine and distort monitor-colors.

In the company I work for we rent computers and related equipment to companies. If a monitor acts up like that we usually throw it away.
The time spent to remove the canopy and screw with the fifteen-or-so little wheels that adjust the performance is often not worthwhile, at least not on two year old fifteen-inchers...

I agree, I don't think it will be solved by degaussing(it's worth a try, though).
