What's this I'm hearing about from the eBay-scouring housemate about new postal regs there? Something like a package that used t'cost $USD 9-10 t'ship is now like $USD 33...& there's some bizarro formula like volume divided by 6000 equals "minimum density weight?" And that all this was sprung with absolutely no notice on consumers & postal employees alike?

Yes, Canadians were invented a couple years ago, but the patenting process took a while, so they're only just now getting out into the market...

I don't know Shik -- haven't heard anything about it, actually. Altho a lot of eBay auctions I've seen recently say "WILL NOT SHIP TO CANADA"
Of course, those are sword auctions, so maybe they're afraid the Canadians'll go south and try and hack us all to pieces

According to a recent press-release, their was a bug in the voice recongition/synthesis of most Canadian's operating systems. The manufacturers did not notice this themselves, but after receiving several comlaints, they are working to fix this. They promise that a patch should be available by Christmas, or there aboot.
