Hey party peoples. I thought I should tell you that my grandfather died yesterday morning. It was a shock, but not a completely devestating one, you know? I'm ok, and most of my family is ok. But I wanted to tell you all because...well...
That's an interesting question.
I like Flare. I like it a lot. ("Oh yeah? How much?" "A lot!" "Alright, you're in.") I like everyone here too. This is my favorite little watering hole on or offline, really. A place to relax.
I'm also going to be in Seattle the rest of today and tomorrow, on an unrelated trip. I have to give my cousin a ride. So, I won't be around, and probably will be pretty busy this weekend too, for obvious reasons. I know some of you live and breath only in anticipation of what brilliant insite I will post next, so I wanted to warn you beforehand.
Anyway, I have to go get my car prepared for the trip. Basically, I have to toss all the trash and incriminating photos out of it. Also, washing it might be nice. And, you know, inflating the tires.

Sorry, man. I know what that's about, I guess many do. I was very disturbed when I discovered that my family would slowly disappear and that I and my siblings/cousins would form the next one, with OUR children thinking WE'll always be there. But it will be nice too, just different.
I hate death. When it rains, it pours.

As may be obvious from my presence, the Seattle trip is a no go for now. My cousin isn't coming until Sunday. I am slightly bothered by the fact that no one sees it as necessary to tell me these things beforehand. Ah well.
I thought what you said was very interesting...why do we share these things on the boards?
I like to think that we are a community and wish each other well and that we share in each others lives to some degree.

I get that too Simon. I'm always the one people forget to tell that, for example, we're having a surprise birthday for my niece.
"I could have sworn we'd told you".
Actually, something like that happened last night. We (my hall mates) were all suppossed to be going out at 8. At 8, I walked across to someone elses room, to be told that they'd all gone. I was really pissed, but deceided to walk to the bus stop anyway. Half way there, my phone rang, with someone asking where I was. Which was nice.
People like you. They just forget you. That's the problem when you don't make a fuss of things.
