I'd like to take this opportunity to say congradulations to the crew of the Space Shuttle Endeavour (STS-94) for their OUTSTANDING work on the latest ISS mission. The views I saw of the EVA-cams on Joe and Carlos's helmets was fabulous. It's really beggining to look like ISS is coming along swimming well.

I got to tour NASA/Kennedy Space Center a few weeks ago and one of the parts of the tours was they took us out to LC-39-B where the Endeavour was on the pad before launch. If you ever get to come to Florida, gang, visit KSC-Cape Canaveral. It's well worth it.

Quatre.

Hip-hip-hoooray!

Who would have thought ten years ago that we'd be building a space station with the Russians?

Watch, ten years from now, the Chinese'll be up there too

They just might do that. Go here to see. http://www.friends-partners.org/~mwade/spaceflt.htm

On a side note, I hope they do have success in their space efforts. After all they DID invent rocketry thousands of years ago.

Funny - in The Night Dawn trilogy, it's the remaining Communists on Earth that go and found the Lunar Nation.

I hope to get down there to see a launch, some day. I've watched them on TV since I can remember, and would love to see one live.

Of course now we know why it takes them so long to launch - they keep having to do recountdowns.

First: Yeah, and cell phones used to be science fiction.

*...which does nothing to help Toadkiller as a stray shuttle external fuel tank from crashing on top of him!*

Sorry! *LOL*

My uncle lived in Florida while working for General Electric. Something to do with the design and construction of the flight control system for Apollo, which is both why he was in Florida and why I thought this post was relavent when I started typing it.
