The terms sound good to me. I already log on to this forum every day to check messages so I have no complaint about them.

Actually...(he asked quizzically) what exactly is there that needs to be done for UP3? If there's crack-filling scut work that needs to be done, I might be able to lend a hand...

I don't think I'm giving anything away here, but each ship is written up in two sections, Canon and Conjectural.

The latter is what Utopia Planitia I was known for, good well-thought-out descriptions of the class and its developmental history.

The Canon section is intended to prevent some of the errors that have propagated from the above (Steamrunner as super-Defiant, anyone?). It is a much shorter section detailing known information - ie as seen on-screen. Tech Manuals are often taken with a pinch of salt (especially the DS9TM). So the whole 120m versus 170m thing will likely be only a single paragraph. . . if anyone can condense 3 years of argument in about a hundred words!

*raises hand and jumps up and down* Ooh! Ooh! Can I help too? I can write! I can write very well! And I can draft pretty well too! (Although you all are probably sick of hearing me say that.) Two weeks from now (after the Regents are over) I can write stuff!! And then after the 22 I'll be drafting for a living, so please, use me!

I would help but I'm devolping my own website that I have a feeling that might be similar to UP3 in terms of techn-babble. However if you see my own write up on the Defiant I might have to kill you...

I can't draw for shite, and I'm no good in technical matters.

BUT, if you need fitting ship names, or a fictionalized background story surrounding the history or important events of certain ships or classes, I'm your man.

Oh no! Matrix is doing a site that's a bit like Utopia Planitia! We'd better scrap our efforts immediately.

YAY! I'm glad to be a part of UP3 devlopment. So let me get this straight. I'm not supposed to talk about the cloning experiments, the technology exchanges with the aliens OR the super secret spy aircraft we're testing there right?

Oh shit. Damn it! Everyone!!! Look at this!! *flash* You never heard me say anything about UP3. You we're just moving on in your daily lives......

How ironic... I originally came to these Boards to see how the UP3 project was going, and to see if I could take part of it... and now I barely got the time...

...temptation's too big...
...remember pending assignments...

...bah, could you throw me a writing schedule?

I never got that - how could the Borg threat become less urgent? It's the Borg for Christ's sake! They'll assimilate you! The only reason the Defiant was shelved was because the stupid engineers rushed things and cocked up!

My few pennies on the subject.
