The Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences will be putting on the 5th Annual Webby Awards ( http://www.webbies.com ) July 19. Essentially the Oscars for Websites, there's a "People's Voice" section of the awards where one can vote for the best site in a variety of categories, one of which is "weird."Now, pause, everyone, and think of the sheer weirdness of Mr. Gene Ray's Timecube. Weird enough?
Unfortunately, he isn't one of the "official" candidates... but we can vote using their equivalent of a write-in ballot. Which is what I suggest everyone here, plus as many people they can contact, do...
Anyway, start here to register to vote, which opens up the option of voting for a whole clatter of other interesting categories anyway. To vote on the write-in in the Weird category, I suggest we stick to the URL www.timecube.com rather than his other works like www.abovegod.com www.thegreatestthinker.com etc.
In any case, think of the sheer pleasure or pain that seeing educated stupid non-Cubists read out his site's name in a worldwide ABC webcast awards show!
