Limewire, iMesh, Bearshare... WinMX. All can be found at http://download.com and they all allow more than just mp3 searching, but use at your own risk.

All you have to do is download the "add-up" from their website, install it on top of the original Napster body, then you're set
100s of servers to choose from, and just as reliable as the servers provided by Napster itself.
And absolutely no need to learn how to use a new program, because all basic functions are as same as Napster since that Napigator is a add-on.

Napigator doesn't help me very much. The servers that actually have stuff on them are always full. And the problem w/ Napster in general is that nobody will/can share anything anymore.

well, personally, I've had some very good experiences with it.
Try the server "nospeed", I've never been locked out of it, and it is usually the second or third largest server around.

And from my understanding, servers on Napigator are "individual" or "private" servers hosted by providers other then Napster, therefore they're not bonded by the rules that have been applied to Napster's servers.
Granted that they'll probably catch some heat in the future just like Napster, but at least for now they're working quite well.

I've had no real problems with audiogalaxy whatsoever, although it is sliding slowly towards legality by locking out a few artists' work as requested.

The Napster-AIM program? Never used it, or heard of anyone who has. I don't like how it's set up though.

Gnutella is the same place you get Limeware, Bearshare etc. etc. as was mentioned above by TLE!
I like Limewire - but it can be a little bit of a bear. Because there is no dedicated server managing the lists - it's a little slower than you are used to with Napster. But all in all.. you can get quite a bit from Limewire/Bearshare.

Up to a few months ago (when I last used it), Napigator + some of the OpenNap servers (musiccity, was it?) were damn good... found about everything I was looking for.
Of course, sharing MP3s over a 56k is unfun majorly.
