Refit of the Indefatigable began today. I started by careful removing the rear section -- I like that element, and I might want to incorporate it back into the new ship.
I joined a new rear hull piece with the three new middle sections and connected all the hull parts together as best as I could. Although I succeeded in building a raised lower gun deck, I'm not happy with it, so I'm going to make it even lower ...
But first, dinner.
And, oh yes, the ship will now boast 13 cannons per side on the low gun deck, and probably 12 cannons per side on the top deck. I haven't decided about rear or forward firing guns, although I'll probably keep the fore guns.

Well, I didn't like the gun deck where it was, so I lowered it. It boasts 14-cannons per side on the low deck, with swivel cannons at the bow, and probably about 5 or 6 cannons per side on the upper deck.
Currently, I have begun construction of the rear cabin. It's quite long: takes up most of the aft of the ship. I'm considering some sort of "Wardroom" at the back for the Admiral and the General.
