So I was helping this friend of mine registering at the local college. Firstly you have to understand that simply attending one quarter is going to hurt her family finacially. This being the winter quarter, its very close to Christmas and all, meaning that she had to decide between christmas and school! This was a fucking shock to my ears. All she wanted from her family for Christmas was about four or five bloody textbooks for college. She'll get them, of course, but I feel really bad that she has to miss out on the holiday season in such a manner just to go to school.
I was toying with the idea of getting her something, however as to what, I am totally clueless. I don't want it to be anything that appears to be very expensive, because she is notorious for refusing gifts, especially expensive ones.
After thinking about this for hours, I've not had a decent idea yet, so I decided to take it to the most creative think tank I know of. You guys.
Any ideas, crew?
