...I'm doing overseas studies in England. I'll be applying for the program in University of Sussex this fall (they don't let you do it earlier).
Basically, the idea came about after a couple of friends shared their experiences while doing overseas studies in Edinburgh. Even then it was a culmination of many other factors that led me to believe this was too good an opportunity to pass up, though I should say that the opening of the Harry Potter movie was a decisive moment (But I'm not doing this just so I could see Kings Cross station and run myself into the wall between platforms 9 and 10). Of course, Australia and New Zealand were both tempting, too, but I gave in to the five-week spring break and a chance to travel in Europe.
Now, it hasn't escaped my notice that I seem to know some people who live in the general UK area. So where exactly are you people, anyway, now that I care?

I second that.
Well, why don't you come to Toronto instead? You'll only have ME to worry about.
Okay, I'll stop.

I've considered doing graduate work outside of the United States. The earliest that would happen is two years, though. And I'd probably be transplanting myself to Canada and not overseas. And I'd probably just go to whatever school Topher the Fabrux is attending so that I can follow him around setting off Roman candles in his wake.
As if Canada doesn't have enough to worry about without having a native Texan come live with them for a while.

Lee's in London, I flip between the capital and Liverpool (which to avoid confusion *cough*Jeff*cough* isn't a suberb of London), Orion is, er, somewhere, and Monty's probably back in Scotland, which means we can only communicate with him by pidgeon.

It isn't as though I haven't met a lot of people. Goodness knows it isn't that. It isn't just that... it isn't... it's... it's despicable.
