Our buddy Gene Ray (Time Cube) has updated his site and now has links to the MIT Panel Discussion. So, you have videos of the two hour debate and discussion of the Time Cube.

You know what? He's still lost me. [Confused]

Oh, this should be fun. Or not. Well, I'll download the first one and give it at least a cursory look over.

Then again, I've got to get to work on a paper ... comparing the original Legend of Sleepy Hollow story to the Tim Burton remake. HAH!

Apparently God never showed up for the debate. He had a chair, though. Labeled, "Your God." Er, I mean, "Your G-d."

Hah. This guy sounds funny. Southern accent ... not too deep, tho. He's understandeable. Eastern PA, MD, or VA (or DE). Asking if people have open minds. Oh, this is too funny. Probably Northeastern U.S. somewhere, since the debate board is one guy from John Hopkins (Balt), and two from MIT and one from Harvard. Jesus, why doesn't he sit down ... ? He stands the whole time. "Minus one times minus one, North Americans equal South Americans ..." Magnus, you can dig some great quotes out of this. Hooyah.

Actually, it was "A negative one times a negative one equals a South American."

Oy.

Today is a great day.

Y'know, the thought just struck me that bringing Gene Ray to lecture at MIT is a bit like giving Wesley Willis a record contract.

The 22 Clark bus passed me up / I picked up a rock and threw it at the bus / Then I called the bus driver a fucking jerk / I told him to suck a camel's ass and fuck off

I'm not seeing the comparison, Tom.

About the movies: They're arfing long. I'll have to wait until I get the two hours or so needed to sit through this uninterrupted.

Gene Ray is not as attractive as I once thought. I guess all of the intellect in this world is doomed to ugliness.

Great. Then I got seriously gypped on the intellect. [Big Grin]

One thing I have noticed from the movies. Gene Ray looks a bit like a thinner and healthier Dick Cheney.
