I am wishing to update my profile to have only my first name-no signature, no interests, no general background information. I have tried two times. Each time I get a message that refers to a date that is in the future or doesn't exist. How do I change my profile?

It's your birthdate. If you don't have anything selected as your birthdate (ie., April 16, 1970), then you will get that message. Just put in any old date if you want and you won't get that message anymore. Worked for me.

I don't get what you mean. You get a date that refers to the future? Can be more specific, like what exactly you were doing to generate this message?
As for a bare-bones profile, in the upper right corner of the page is a link called "My Profile." Click it. Then on the new page, click on "Update Profile." From there, you can change your publicly displayed name from targetemployee to Colin. Every other text field you can just delete except for the password and the email address. If I remember correctly, you got to have the email address (but towards the end of the page is a Yes/No option for making your email address visible. Just select no). If you've entered your birthdate, you simply open the drop-down boxes and select the space for the month, day, and year. Then at the very end is "Submit Changes." Click it and you're done.

Oh, it's the birthdate that causes that? I was getting the same problem about a month ago, and CC never responded to me to tell me what it was. But you might be right, as I know I have no birthdate entered in mine.
Fortunately, I have access to the main Forum control panel, so I don't have to worry about it. :-)

We appreciate your concern. It is noted and stupid.

I just updated your profile - you should no longer receive the error. (It's a bug on our part )
