I thought this might interest some of you. A few months ago Gene Ray was invited to "debate" the Time Cube at a lecture series at MIT. The event is available for download, if you've got the time/bandwidth:
I have to confess that I'm a little...well, I don't know, put off, I suppose, by the whole thing. Mr. Ray is a kindly old gentleman who happens to be totally off his rocker. I'm not sure how inviting him to such an event for the sole purpose of laughing at the crazy old man sits with me.

The links to the clips were refused when I tried ~2:30 US Pacific Time. The link to Gene Ray's website was... interesting?

I can't believe I glanced through that again.....
I emailed last time we had this here..... and he's serious.... especially to go to MIT....
Somebody got that screw driver????
Plus I just emailed him this..... Gene, You proably don't remember exchanging email with me, oh, 12 to 18 months ago, but i asked you if you were serious... Which I would imagine a lot of people do....
The question I have is: Why are you using the names for time of the day.... If you extend your theory out to it's ultimate goal then you do have multiple words, based on each second, or, even each fraction of a second. How do you deduce only the 4? When each second clicks over, everywhere and everytime? If there are 86,400 seconds per day wouldn't there be that many worlds??? And that is if we apply our man-made time to nature..... It seems to me that your theory is flawed, limiting nature as your are. Thank you for your time Gene Jason

It seems to me that, at this point, attempting to logically explain why the Time Cube is...unworkable is a vast waste of time, and not really the point anyway.

This is true, but I am fiddling around a little..... I am bored with 99.99% of my life now.....
his reply Do you know the difference between Nature's Time Cube and the human invented clock with its unnatural hours, minutes and seconds?
Gene Ray
I asked him to explain..... It would take four nights to download those movies under the conditions I have now.....

Yeah, I posted about this a while ago. We're still waiting on Ultra Magnus to come up with something witty about it. Doesn't look like that's happening now.

He hasn't replied to my question about his dividing the day in to 4 parts, instead of an infinite number based on each moment of rotation...... I told him he was debunking his own theory by limiting it to a cube.... I guess he didn't like that....

No, it's just that you are trying to use logic on a man who believes that minutes are a conspiracy. It's not going to work.
-------------------- Yes, you're despicable, and... and picable... and... and you're definitely, definitely despicable. How a person can get so despicable in one lifetime is beyond me. It isn't as though I haven't met a lot of people. Goodness knows it isn't that. It isn't just that... it isn't... it's... it's despicable.
