A long time ago, in a mentality now far far away, I was about as fanatical Star Wars as they came, and did my damndest to collect every new piece of Star Wars merchandise to come down the road. And this was when Power of the Force was out in force (heh heh), when they released the original trilogy special editions in theaters, so I've got a good deal of crap in my closet.
I may have single handedly financed Jar Jar Binks.
But thankfully, that unhealthy obsession for the Star Wars movies has now transformed into a unhealthy obsession for movies in general.
So, I'm now drooling over the top of the line digital cameras out there, and Kevin Smith's (the one that's still alive) story of selling his comic book collection to finance Clerks makes me realize I have a lot of revenue that could be applied to some nifty gadgets.
Now a thread on Flareite opinions on cameras will be coming shortly, but for right now I'm wonderng how much I could realistically expect if I opened up an eBay account? Or if there were some other way of producing more income from them.
A cursory inventory:
Approximately 20 figures still in packaging including the red, green, and purple series (the colors on the boxes)
Among these, a Vader, Obi Wan, and Luke with the longer light saber blades that were introduced in the very beginning
A comparable amount of figures without the packaging
Unpackaged vehicles including; TIE Fighter, Millenium Falcon, Dash Rendar's ship, X-Wing, Snowspeeder, Luke's hovercar thingy from ANH, T-16, and Slave One.
Cantina Brawl Scene and Luke in Endor Gear on Speeder Bike still in packaging
A slew of Micromachine action fleet stuff; TIE Fighter, Interceptor, X-Wing, etc. etc. etc. Three or four still in packaging
Several of those Micromachine Head set things, the ones that looked like Vader's or Luke's or whoever's head and turned into a mini playset.
Another transforming playset, the really big Death Star one
Maul's and Vader's lightsabers, and stormtrooper blaster, out of packaging
Other crap, I'm sure, but that's just to give you an idea of the nature of it. Anybody have similar collections that they have, are, or will be trying to liquidate?

The only thing of real value is the long-saber figures. The red-cards don't go for too much, and neither do most green cards. I work with a few people who are very interested in POTF2 stuff (make sure to clarify between POTF - original stuff - and POTF2). Send me an e-mail and I'll get them to get in touch with you.

-------------------- Yes, you're despicable, and... and picable... and... and you're definitely, definitely despicable. How a person can get so despicable in one lifetime is beyond me. It isn't as though I haven't met a lot of people. Goodness knows it isn't that. It isn't just that... it isn't... it's... it's despicable.

MWHUAHAHAHA...ha?
This is why I love you Sol, I did check eBay, though my search yeilded entirely different results.
And what can it hurt to see if somebody out here might have other information, either interested in buying, knowing somebody who is (thank you Jeff, I'll check what POTF2 stuff I have exactly), or somebody who's gone, is going, or will be going through the same experience.
Really, what the hell else are we going to talk about?
