Truthfully there are several of us that aren't all that far apart.... I mean as opposed to having an ocean in the way, or a majority of the US....

Between MI, PA, and the area of Canada inbetween I think there are 6 of us... perhaps more...

Hell, Toronto is only about 182 mi. (293 km) from Port Huron....

Too bad in real life I am even more boring then I am here....

my grandmother wont let me have any of my friends over. otherwise, we could have a party here.

could you imagine a Flare party?! wed all bring our computers and our DVD/VHS collections and a large supply of our preferred intoxicants and just go wild knocking the internet and sci-fi/fantasy on its ass, all night long!

Er, have you met the people here? Simon would DJ and bring all the latest hits from "Delightful Quackery", or whatever obscure band he's listening to at the moment. Half the lot would should and be incomprehensible all the time. Tom and Lee would shout at each other about Enterprise, the other half would go home early incase they accidentally saw alcohol, there would be at least 3 road fatalities from people driving there, and it would take forever to cook Tim.

It would be like Jerry Springer, except really, really nerdy.

Which really does make the UK people look bad. Even when we were all here, there was never more than 200 miles between, and me and Lee even live in the same city. Tsk, eh?

Not possible. Ha!

Yes, you're despicable, and... and picable... and... and you're definitely, definitely despicable. How a person can get so despicable in one lifetime is beyond me. It isn't as though I haven't met a lot of people. Goodness knows it isn't that. It isn't just that... it isn't... it's... it's despicable.

Why, whe'd even have our own resident stand-up comedian to liven the party. Fun! Joy! Just TRY to picture all those happy campers. No comparison for Jerry Springer, really.

PsyLiain: "Half the lot would should and be incomprehensible all the time"

And you know all about leading by example.

I, for one, would never "should" a person without asking.

i think that bringing the flare together in person should be reserved for emergencies.

scared presidential advisor: "mr president, a comet is heading towards us! what do we do!?!"

non scared president: "there is only one thing we can do! we must bring the flareite dweebazoids together! only their intellectual prowess and nerdiness can possibly bore that comet into leaving the solar system!"

PsyLiam: "radical!"

koy'peled Oy'tio: "Ahem hence summary"

Vogon Poet: "the 'fuck'?

CaptainMike: "i've never trusted comets, mr president.. and I never will.. i can never forgive them.. for the.. death of my boy."

Magnus Pym Eye: "tee hee."

i must point out there are several who invoke the italicized version of that curse much more often that me.

its more like:

CaptainMike: "I've never trusted comets, Mr President.. and I never will.. I can never forgive them.. for the.. death of my boy."
