Okay, this borders dangerously on spam. I'm taking out the URLs from the post. Just change the link in your sig.

Sorry. I read over the current list of topics on the forum and, upon seeing things listed like looking for fonts, wishings of happy birthday to oneself, Dr. Death and the porn star, and Lego Jeep pics, I figured the "spam" standards were probably low.

Spam is usually frowned upon around here, in any forum. Only folks who've been here a long time seem to be able to post adverts for their sites and get away with it, which seems a little wrong to me...

Uh, except he _has_ been around for awhile. Sheesh. Mind you, I think his topic is the worst thing since ever, but still.

What have those things got to do w/ anything? This is spam because you posted an entire topic for the sole purpose of advertising your Web site. We don't like unsolicited advertisements.

Maybe we should put a big sign on the front door that says "No Solicitors"?

i could understand discouraging this among newbies who have no intention of ever posting anything of substance besides their links, but if its someone who's posted for a while already and is just sharing a link for their own personal, non-commercial, site, what should it matter?.. that's the way i handle it on the message board on my website.
-------------------- Yes, you're despicable, and... and picable... and... and you're definitely, definitely despicable. How a person can get so despicable in one lifetime is beyond me. It isn't as though I haven't met a lot of people. Goodness knows it isn't that. It isn't just that... it isn't... it's... it's despicable.

I really don't think this is going anywhere, except towards some unnecessary bickering. If ya keep the opinions clear and concise I'm sure there won't need to be any locking of threads.

Not that I'm fond of the topic either, but the actual purpose for the thread is really to notify of a web location CHANGE.
Still, I've never, ever posted advertisements for my website or our message board here on Flare before, unless it's pertinent to the conversation. I just keep that stuff in my sig.
